Sam ran up the building so the helicopters could see him.
1.) The city idea wasn't Bay's. It was in the original script that was leaked last year.
2.) It was a boneheaded move, and I cannot figure out why Rogers thought it would be a good idea, other than for bombastic scenes. (Which it provided)
All in all, it was an insanely stupid move. Hiding it somewhere inside the city was just retarded. (And that's exactly what Lennox and Keller came up with and decided on.) There was no base on the other side of the city, they meant to take it into the deepest part of downtown and hide it.
1.) Too many lives were put at risk.
2.) Hoover Dam was constructed to hide it. (It was needed too.)
Ridiculous. They disband Sector 7, but keep Keller and Lennox on as they are....yeah. That's a genius move.
Don't get me wrong, I liked both characters quite a bit, but wow. When dumb is dumb, I'll admit it.
Oh, one more thing... even if Megatron couldn't find the All Spark on his own, the convoy of heavily armed vehicles surrounding a 2009 Chevy Camaro concept car (none others in existence, except for the one Bumblebee scanned...) kinda sticks out, like a neon sign saying "THE CUBE'S RIGHT HERE! RIGHT FRIGGIN' HERE CHIEF!" Oooh. "Gee, I wonder where it is Starscream?"
Moments that make you go "Bwah?"
