It has been 5 weeks since the last new Family Guy episode. After that they showed some stupid 24 episode the next week, and now 3 weeks of reruns that were showed earlier in this season!

This ****'s getting old. I want some new family guy damn't! How hard is it to make a 1/2 hour carton? Jeez

Yeah, I want new "Miami Vice", and I've been waiting a lot longer than you have.

Writing, storyboarding, animating, distributing and airing a cartoon isn't that easy, though. In fact, if you want, I'll race you to do a twelve-episode series to prove a point.

This is typical for a 12-14 episode run, and it happened last year too. last year stopped on Nov 25th, then resumed with new eps on Jan 13th.

Hell you can blame FOX for that also

For example the put Kitchen Nightmares on thursday and show all new episodes back to back and then show repest for months instead of stretching out the newer ones

It takes a few months. Family Guy tends to use CGI for certain scenes (much like Futurama), so it takes a bit longer.

South Park, on the other hand, only takes a few days, but they have an entirely different method.

yeah you guys are right. Totally fox's fault. Their are 2 more episodes for the season already made, that Fox isn't showing.

Honestly lets face it, FOx is the worst network. They canceled Family guy 2 times already, canceled Futurama, and they are running The Simpsons and King of the Hill into the ground. They also brought us American Idol, probably the WORST thing ever to happen to modern music! Theres not enough good music as their is, why create more industry created pop-stars?

Not to mention their history of airing great shows for only a few episodes, then canceling them.

Alas, FireFly, we hardly knew ye.

And then they replace them with half-assed reality shows that I swear use the exact same incidental music to emphasize a guy staring blankly at someone.

And they canceled Arrested Development, which was a great show that they really should have advertised more. And don't get me stared on Futurama; by the end of the show, they were airing episodes sporadically, often changing the night it would air. I think if they want a show to fail, but can't, they'll move it around so much that rating will drop to the point where it WILL fail.

Thats true. Wasn't Grounded for Life another awesome show that was a victim to Fox's BS? That show as freaking hilarious too. Almost a Live-Action Family guy with the style of comedy it was.

I too am very bitter about Futurama. Lets face it, the Simpsons started wearing down around '98 or 99, yet fast forward 10 years later its still running with no plans in the future to cancel it. Groening's better show, Futurama is no more. I still can't imagine the show being gone forever, not with the cult-like following it has. I know they did the movie for Comedy central last year so SURELY it'll be back. But why in gods name is simpsons still on the air and Futurama isn't?

Also don't get why King of the Hill is still on the air. I liked this show when it came out, but honestly it only had like 2 or 3 good seasons. Mike Judge quit doing Beavis and Butthead because he said he "ran out of stupid ideas" maybe he should do the same for King of the Hill. I mean honestly does anyone really like that show anymore?

I'll give the simpsons credit, while the new episodes aren't funny they are at least interesting enough to keep your attention. King of the Hill is just Boring!

Three Futurama movies have been released (Bender's Big Score, The Beast with a Billion Backs, and Bender's Game), and the fourth and final one (Into the Wild Green Yonder) is set to be released in February. David X. Cohen that the fourth one "ends on a real sweet note and we'll be content with that if it's the last we ever do." So that sounds like it's gonna be great.

Although the final movie is only the last of the PLANNED movies, meaning there very well could be more.

The move to Comedy Central was a good one; it gets decent advertising, and it airs at least twice a day. With Adult Swim, they could only air it between 11PM and 6AM (Or 10PM and 6Am on Sundays), and couldn't really advertise it during the day. (Showing a drunken, chain-smoking, gambling, thieving, swearing cheating robot in a commercial break during Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends is a bit of a faux pas)

I still like King of the Hill, but maybe because I just like that style of humor. If nothing else, I find King of the Hill to have kind of a consitency to it: it's rarely laugh out loud, but the stories are pretty well constructed and plotted, and it's never zany or unrealistic. In short, a nice counterpoint to the other Fox animated shows.

But in actuality, KOTH is getting cancelled(might be picked up by ABC), and will be replaced by "The Cleveland Show". Also, depsite lower rating, American Dad! will be back, which I think is a good thing, because out of all the shows American Dad! has been the funniest this season in my opinion.

I thought it was typical for a show to take a break mid-season. In fact, don't they advertise shows that have no breaks in the season as if it were a selling point?

It's going to start airing on Adult Swim in January. AS has been advertising it a lot. Coincidentally, this means AS has taken every prime-time cartoon from Fox except for The Simpsons.

Thank god The Simpsons isn't on adult swim. Its bad enough MyNetworkTV airs it.

It's simple:

Family Guy is Good.

Fox canceled Family Guy, twice, thus they are bad.

Of course, they also brought it back twice. It gets kind of complicated around there.

But if you're not into Family Guy, you can just as easily say "They canceled FireFly."

While Futurama get most of the cast of TOS (Except for DeForest Kelley who was dead, and James Doohan who said no), Family Guy at least got Patrick Stewart, Michael Dorn, and Jonathan Frakes, and Seth MacFarlane was a guest star on two episodes of Enterprise.
