Heya.

I know, I virtually cloned the thread title from another thread (protectobot origin theory).Apologies, but if it works, why change it?

The fanbase has an interesting dynamic when it comes to TF "use".
"Use" is a harsh word, what I mean by it is 'what we do with what we're given'.In terms of the PCCs, there's no official story so far, but fan fluff and the Mosaics work is pretty neat in other areas and I know will be just as good PCC-wise.

I'm curious to know what folks think of the combiners as a reality? Have you considered where they fit in amongst all the realities and the timelines? I am very interested in comparing todays' thoughts to any official word that will come out at some later date.

My reasoning: The most 'seamless' and workable thought (to me) is that they could be citizens/denizens of Cybertron-Primus, right after he assumes the planet as a body.I reckon, since all the Primes are the embodiments of the 'Till all are one' galactic view, he would use his 'Unicron style morph-a-morphing magic' to redo his denizens into the PCCs-a step closer to all-are-one-ness with the stronger connection to unity,but also freedom within unity, that would be Primus' stance on the issue,as opposed to the younger versions propagated by Rodimus and Optimus. Like minnows,the PCCs would then wander over,around and throughout Cybertron-Primus and do whatever each is best at.

The drones might be new lives, or newly mobile older intelligences, like Teletraan: no longer needed to be standstill computer screens/terminals like the older generations used 'cuz Primus's concious covers all quadrants, so certain older relay posts have the capability to be upgraded to the next level (mobile drones) in this new age.
He won't convert the Minicons into drones, as they were always a neutral and free-to- contribute-independently group, tho the toys themselves show a new version of minicon which is brimming with Energon-something propably available in the Primus era.

Also, Primus (perhaps) considers both the Autobots and Decepticons on him as his children so leaves them in their factional divide, tho it's a new age with propably a newer, more rounded out belief system, since if I'm not mistaken, there's a Decep fire response vehicle.Primus acknowledges that the scuffling between the two factions is serving to improve Cybertron as a homeworld down the line, which according to WFC has gone 1 million years without a properly premeditated,dedicated social upgrade.

Of course, some of the PCCs might venture offworld. So war elsewhere could still rage unchecked.

Glad this thread was still on the first page. I had the following thought on Friday while driving to work.

Maybe the PCCs are the first step in the whole gestalt evolution. When the technology for combination was under development they weren't able to manage the combination of minds just yet, so drones were used instead as a means of showing physical combination was possible, and if the drones are controlled by the commanders, then it shows that mental control/combination would be possible eventually.
Also, Bombshock and Stakeout and Mudslinger, possibly some of the other ones, like Searchlight, they were G1 micromasters, and in one of the DW sourcebooks it makes allusion to the idea that some micromasters were once larger TFs who underwent like, a rebuild or similar, into the smaller bodies, so maybe these commander bodies were their larger forms, like they are the in-house experimental volunteers.
The ultimate end of the PCC process would have been the development of Devastator, the rise of actual multi-robot combination, but the PCCs would represent the baby steps in the process. It would be followed with things like the Duocons, becasue again, the DW sourcebooks say that each part of a Duocon essentially has its own personality, and the combined robot form holds the completed personality. Now I'm talking about combination in general, but the PCCs would be the genesis of the attempt. From the PCC idea and tests Cybertronians would have been able to figure out gestalt tech and Duo-tech, like in the Energon and Cybertron series, or even moive PRime and Jetfire. I know JEtfire was dead when he and PRime combine in ROTF, but that's clearly not the point I'm making here. In E/C, when Prime wears Jetfire and Overload and Leobreaker and the Wingsabers, are those other parts still sentient or do they really just turn into clothes for Prime? I know they talk incessently during their combination graphic, but I don't seem to remember them actually being present afterwards. Same with like Ironhide and Jetfire in Energon, after the combination, whichever head is showing is the dominant one, same with the G1s, and the same with the PCCs.
