Your summer spending

Now that summer is coming to a close, how did it go as far as TF spending was concerned? On my end I actually had a lackluster summer as far as spending went due to totaling a car a week before BotCon. I haven't even picked up Metroplex or MP Soundwave or any of the IDW figures.

The money is starting to flow back in and I will be catching up shortly. How did everyone else do this summer?

My summer was pretty darned awesome. I finished up my Pirate Faction with Botcon Arcee, Universe Depth Charge and Beast Wars White Rattrap. I got the shipping notice of MP Soundwave with his cassettes. I snagged all the botcon figures and various convention exclusives all the while keeping up with the regular releases (Thanks BBTS!)

I'll be getting Takara's Metroplex, who is apparently supposed to arrive this month.

It was a crummy season for my wallet, but a good one for my shelves.

I didnt get many figures this summer. In fact only 3 since May. But 2 of them are those that I never thought I'd have. Encore 23 FORT MAX and Generations Metroplex. So even though I only got a few new additions to my shelves, you could still say I had a BIG summer. :BOT: Oh, and the 3rd one was TRU MP-10

I finally finished off my Botcon Beast Wars collection (took FOREVER to find that damn Vice Grip figure :P), I stayed caught up with all of the main Takara MPs (sorry, no eHobby exclusives here and no Hasbro Soundwave either) and grabbed every Beast Hunters Predacon I could get my hands on (including the Takara and Target Exclusive variants). I also just started collecting Diaclone of all things. And of course, my collection of third party figures (including combiners) has increased.

Summer was good to my collection and I just got a not-insubstantial pay raise at work, so it's only going to embiggen even further as time goes on :).

Didn't purchase much this summer. Picked up Generations Springer and Sandstorm at retail, and Energon Arcee & Titanium Series Rodimus at a flea market. I guess you could also count the mini-individual-pack playskool figures in there, but they were for my niece.

Otherwise the only other addition to my collection came from my sister, who gave me a Transformers chess set and the Ironhide Construct-a-bot set for my birthday <3

Thanks to my shops not stocking anything new and/or worth of interest, I had to reach out to conventions and imports. And those opportunities were few and far between. Nevertheless, I mostly snapped up Japanese and loose older figures for my "Expanded Universe". ;)
And just as summer ends Beast Hunters hits, with Wave 3 in all size classes. Figures. I'm limiting myself to the Predacons and Abominus for now, in that aspect I'm missing Vertebreak, Grimwing and Hun-Gurrr (We seem to have skipped Lazerback and Ripclaw). Especially Hun-Gurrr is being elusive...
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

I spent more than I should have, but got lots of good stuff, from MP Soundwave, to the Generations Triple-Changers, to G1 Grimlock and Sludge, and many more.

Not that it wasn't worth it, but 3 plane tickets, 2 hotel rooms, food for 3, and 3 BotCon packages took a bite out of my wallet this summer.

I think my only summer purchase was 3rd party notSixshot. I've just ordered a big bunch of TFs from an online friend but that's too late for a summer thing!

I love the variety of response here, it just shows how no two people collect alike. Oh, and my car engine blew out on a busy highway, so I'm gonna have to go lean for a few more months.

Personally I have been doing some catch up purchasing this summer:

Classics Grimlock, £25
Classics Astrotrain, £30
Universe Ratchet, £35
Universe Ironhide, £9

Acessories:

G1 grimlock dual blaster, £5
Dr Wu red Dark Tyrant Sword, £10

(Both of the above were to kit out Classics Grimlock)

Not a bad haul concidering hoe rare most of the figures are.
