Are we still looking at a March release date or are they coming out this month (Feb)? Every store I've been in has been just about cleared of all TF toys so I can only assume they're prepping to put out Prime stuff any time now.

They're in many stock rooms right now. I purchased wave 1 Deluxes and Voyagers this weekend at Target, but I had to have them pulled from the back. These don't have a street date, so if you can find someone to retrieve them for you there should be no problem with purchasing them.

How do you even get them to check the back? Everywhere I go, I'm told they can't do that, or "If it isn't out here, we don't have it." What do you ask them to get them to check the stock?

This. I tried at 4 Targets last week and was told that only leads were allowed to check in the back or that if it wasn't out on the shelves, they didn't have it/couldn't sell it.

I just walked up the customer service desk and gave them these two numbers 087-06-0546 (Deluxe) and 087-06-0807 (Voyager). I told them their online system said they had these in stock and I would like to purchase them. He looked them up and verified they were in-stock, called someone in toys who brought out a case of each and let take what I wanted. I guess it just depends on the store you go to.

I stopped by one Target this morning with the numbers, and asked a worked to get me a Voyager Megatron and the deluxe Soundwave. It took her 20 minutes to come back, and she brought out the voyager Prime and a Bumblebee and pretty much told me this is what I get. She said she isn't allowed to go through boxes of collectibles and pull out certain figures for people. I asked to speak to a manager, but he just told me that same thing. Then he told me to come back on February 26th, when the reset was done. On my lunch break, I stopped by a different Target that only had the deluxe figures in the back. I asked the first person I saw for help, and he brought me out a Soundwave no problem. There is one more Target in town that Has the Voyagers in back. I haven't decided if I will try them or not.

Well, I guess that was a waste. I checked both targets near me, and they just checked the computers and said that anything they got in would be out on the shelf. They never bothered to check the back. Sigh...

I did everything I could short of actually bribing employees.

It's really a crap shoot if someone will check the stockroom for you. I've one person at a store say they can't then asked someone else and they did it for me when I was looking for HA Leadfoot. I haven't tried with the Prime stuff yet.

Sounds like you need Laserbeak to come and be a creepy creeper at your Target(s) and convince the employee's to look :lol:

I haven't bothered trying. figured I'll just wait. Shouldn't really be spending money right now anyway.

I used to work at Target and the "can't check the back" rule varies from store to store sadly.

At my store, I was told to go into the back whenever the customer requested. We have these handheld guns/scanners that will tell us if a product is in stock and if it is, we make a call to the crew in the back and they'll get it ready for us.

HOWEVER, some products they would not be allowed to pull because of sales/time restrictions. It's possible Target is preparing an ad in the future and wants to make sure there is stock available.

In reality, it's just a crapshoot.

Just want to tell everyone I followed El Duque's advice and was able to procure a Wheeljack and Soundwave. Thanks El Duque!

Instead of asking a random employee. After checking the provided link and confirming availability, I went to the store and found that of course they were not on the floor. I went to the Customer Service desk and explained that my son wants a toy for his birthday and that my wife just called me and told me she went on line and confirmed they were in stock, but I couldnt find them and requested someone help me find them...gave her the numbers, she told me to go to electronics and which is near the stock room and someone would bring them out. When the guy finally arrived and had to give him the numbers again. After a long while he came back with of course a bumble bee. He said there were different ones..."which color do I want?" I asked if the box was nearby the stockroom entrance so I could look in the box. He told me no, and then about 10 minutes later came out with the box. They couldnt find the voyagers.
Anyway, I was looking through the box quickly but it appeared there were multiple Bees, WJs, and CJs but only one Soundwave. Does anyone know the box counts, or if there are any other deluxes in this wave (Vehicon)?

Went to another Target this morning and got the Voyager Megatron. I just walked up to the service desk with the DCPI number, told them I bought the Optimus figure at a different Target, but they were out of Megatron. I said the other store had checked the computer for availabilty, and I was told they had it at this Target. Five minutes later I was leaving with the figure.

Good question. Their UPCs do not register with the system. I've tried several times. So, definitely good question.

Great news- used the stock numbers and came away with both Voyager Optimus and Megs, and deluxe Wheeljack and Cliffjumper! I was so stked. Pretty much every Target I checked was extremely helpful (I checked like 4 or 5). Haven't found a Soundwave yet though- still looking.

On a separate note, does anyone know if the RID Bulkhead ad Voyager Starscream are part of the 1st wave? Seems Megs and Optimus are the only voyagers available currently.

Actually, Wave 2 is Arcee and Ratchet. Wave 3 includes Knock Out, Vehicon, and Hot Shot.

I'm going to go try this in a few minutes and see what I come out with. Hope I don't leave the store empty handed.

Because I'm exceedingly stubborn, went back to my nearest Target today, went to Guest Services and asked the person up front to check.

Unlike her co-workers of the previous days, she actually radioed the stock room and went back to get a box for me.

Finally snagged my Soundwave and also grabbed a Wheeljack since she was willing to walk all the way back there for me.

Strangest part: I didn't do anything different than the past couple times, so it's not so much the store as the PERSON you ask.

Well my trip was totally.......rewarding.

I go to the shelves, as expected, the Prime figures aren't there. I tell the lady at the customer service desk that they aren't back there, and she asks if I have the number (that El Duque gave us). Well no **** I had it. She put it in and she said that there was 8 in stock (the Bees x3, Cliff & Wheeljack x2, and Soundwave x1 = 8, duh). So she gave me this little reciept with the stock room floor where the figures are stored and said she'd send someone to help me.

I'm waiting a half hour and nobody comes, so I ask the next damn target worker that passes me. She takes my reciept and goes in the back room, and opens up the box. She takes it to me and tells me to pick what I want. All the figures were there, but sadly, I only had enough for one. Since I already had Cliffjumper, I hate Bumblebee's figure, Soundwave had only one figure in the box, and I needed a 'con, I grabbed Soundwave.

Well, now Cliffjumper has someone to epically get killed by. Thanks El Duque!

Well, after a week of no results, I finally got Toys R Us to check the back and they had a box of the Voyagers. I snagged Megatron. That was Valentine's Day.

Today, I finally got Target to do the same and got Optimus. Thing is, Toys R Us is now charging $26.99 for Voyagers, while Target's are still only $19.99. My advice everyone, stick to Target or Walmart for Prime figures unless you absolutely can't find them there and only at TRU.
