Question about the twins(not dotm question)

I was watching ROTF recently and in the scene were the twins fight over the green car, couldn't they both have scanned it? its not like there actually taking the cars, I know it's stupid to think to much about this stuff but I was just wondering

i think that it would cause too much confusion, and they wold end up looking close to identical in robot made.
i suppose they could have both had the same car but in different colours, as in dotm, but...hey...

Yeah, they could have. Would have lived up to the moniker of "twins" even better, if we couldn't tell them apart. Not like it mattered anyway. They were both idiots. But funny.

heres why:
NEST gave them the cars for identification
i have tried to look on the back before they scanned the original cars to see the license plates with there names on it so i think it was meant for skids to have the green car
