Trying to explain Legacy of Kain to a complete newbie (because you ARE new to it) is like suicide.

The blade is Raziel's own soul, disembodied, obviously, and symbiotically bound to his right arm. It can be described as being made of energy, as it does resonate something otherwordly and can be used to cut through objects. It being his own soul is possible in that it is misplaced in time.

Or something. I don't even know...

Well not quite. It DOES change shape but VERY loosley. It remains with a length and comes to a point, but it swirls and such.

The best comparison is Beast Wars Megatron. In The Agenda, with the weapon he had charged to destroy Optimus Prime. THATS pretty much the soul reaver.

Well i always looked at it as breathing or sending out jolts of soul/energy never as changing shape, but you ould call it like that too, damn it makes me want to start playing again.
