even though Fans project did their part to help the relief effort in japan, and they had stated NOT to re-sell these figures to make a profit, there are so far 3 people on ebay right now, selling theirs. (i myself have 2, that I will love and cherish,...plus hot rod/rodimus look badd-@SS with two guns, duh).

granted the first one that is going for over a hundred dollars is 100% going to japan relief efforts through ebay,

the other two are NOT,

the second one CLAIMS to not want monetary gain out of the figure,...then WHY SELL IT ON EBAY????? (claims he already donated through work, yea i tell that to the Jehovah witness's at the door too man)

the third one, is just plain outright selling his,...and in the questions section is claiming to be going to donated 50% of the sale to japan,...uh huh suuuure.

and just to put then on the spot for the trans-world to see, here are the links to the auctions (i found them just because I searched for "blesser" to see how many crappy people are out there,...not bad out of 1500 figures, only 3 bad seeds, ....well two, the first guy I can get behind, cause it's 100% going to japan.)

granted the first dude, is pretty awesome though, since he had the idea to run it through ebay charities and to make sure 100% of the funds goes to japan.

but the other two, they just need to have some scruples.

My is in my collection and will forever remain there.

All I can say is that it belongs to them. They can do whatever they want with it.

sorry, but I'm not gonna sit here and say people are horrible for selling them. It's their loss, not mine.

it's the principle of it,...look at it this way, if your sick and dying grandmother whom you loved, gave you a locket that her grandmother gave to her and so on and so forth, and then you go and sell it on ebay or pawn it or something, isn't that a being even a BIT petty?

so yes, I shall proclaim that "in MY particular opinion" these individuals who seek monetary gain from something that was supposed to be a altruistic act, ARE in fact "bad people".

so, no tip of the hat to you "bad men", nope, you get a big ol' wag of the finger!

I'm annoyed too, but there's nothing I can do about it.

Really, the bio card makes the figure exclusive to your personal collection so it's kind of out of place to buy someone else's.

All I can do about this is not sell mine. Never had any intention to either.

 I had no idea that these pieces would go like that. Just wow!

Altitron is cool. Talked with him over at the club boards a few times.

The other two sellers, one says that he is giving half the proceeds to the red cross, that's some more donations there. And I think that's the bottom line. End justify the means kinda deal. It does makes me wonder about the buyers for all of these ($142.50 for the first auction!!) and what that says about FansProject stuff (which IMO is the leading 3rd party company out).

I personally would never ever sell this figure. For me, it has a very personal concept/idea to the whole figure. I mean one of the best parts was getting the card with your name on it. Simple, but that really adds such a personal touch that I actually ended up keeping the envelop (very nice gold envelop at that) as well. But to each their own.

Once they donated to Red Cross (or whoever) and FP gave them a Blesser it became theirs. FP no longer owns it and really has no right to tell people what to do with something they own. I don't see anyone as a jerk for selling something they own, even if it was a thank you for donating to a charity.

Oh well, it gives people like me a second chance at getting one of these. The only reason I didn't get one or donate back then was that I was completely broke due to lending money to my friends. Still waiting on that money actually, damn I'm shite at lending money.

I got lucky I guess. I made a donation prior to Blesser's announcement, but didn't get around to sending in my proof to FP and missed out. A local collector ended up with two and sold me his extra for 10 bucks.

I did donate but never recieved one because I just forwarded my reciept because I didn't know how to attach it as a Jpeg which was one of the conditions. However I would not pay over $100 to get one.

I'm actually surprised it's been so few to be honest. FP practically greenlighted the scenario by saying if you want more than one, make separate donations. A better deterrent for them to not be sold rather than a "please don't" woulda been one per household. Sure, there'd still be ways around that...but how many people are there out there with more than one as it is? Probably a lot... And most would probably be less inclined to sell their only piece.

Agreed. I don't care if they sell their "Blesser" figure. I'm certainly not going to judge someone by their action to do so either.

Yeah...this wasn't a surprise anyway. Not judging because I would sell mine if I needed to. In fact I had to sell lot's of FP stuff last year including my Shadow Scythe set because I had a low paying job.

Why look down on a single seller when corporations do it everyday.

fact remains the "blesser" wasn't a sale but no more than a charity drive ot help japan. So FP knew what would happened. In these crying time no one is really unscrupulous unless they just plain ol broke the law.

Just leave it be and move on.

I agree. Mine is gonna stay put in my collection til the day I die and I pass my 'formers on to my benefactors. It is a HUGE disrespect (not to mention selfish and greedy) for anyone to sell these pieces off through any means because of their original purpose. I think to do that only demeans the spirit of giving aid to those in desperate need.

I think you guys are missing the point here. Maybe, just maybe someone who has or is contemplating selling off their Blesser for selfish gain may read this and feel guilty and change their minds. It would be just as self righteous to put us down who wish bring to this to light and seek that change of heart out of respect.

there is of course the possibility people are selling their Blesser for $100 or whatever to give the proceeds to charity. I don't know that it's very likely, but it's possible.
