Im on a mission...
Im in need of a Deluxe sized figure, a car/vehicle, with an orange and yellow deco, but with a modern aesthetic that could stand-in for Targetmaster Sureshot...![]()
BOOM!
A lick of paint or preferably a head swap adding a spare Targetmaster from a Battle in Space set! Lovely!
william-james88 wrote:So that would also be the case for Predaking, who is also six members.
Arctorro wrote:Speaking of Sureshot. Not the greatest mould ever, or the best paint job, but it'll do for now![]()
I'll paint the head one day...

Awesome stuff Arctorro, which Targetmaster gun is that?

A few folks have done exactly that, having even customized a visor out his eyes to complete the look.Wolfman Jake wrote:I'm contemplating Protectobots Evac Squad Hotspot as Hosehead (or Cab if you rather).

That, or to use him and Blades as Fire Chief and Fly-Up (whom the toys resemble more, anyway).Wolfman Jake wrote:Sabrblade wrote:A few folks have done exactly that, having even customized a visor out his eyes to complete the look.Wolfman Jake wrote:I'm contemplating Protectobots Evac Squad Hotspot as Hosehead (or Cab if you rather).
I might pass on making any permanent mods to the mold, but good to know I'm not the only one that sees the repurposing potential. Seriously, it's about the only reason to pick up that set at this point.

Who is? Their fiction barely went into them as characters.Wolfman Jake wrote:Ah. I'm not that familiar at all with the Operation Combination characters.

Groove, however does resemble this Groove, who in turn resembles Glide.Wolfman Jake wrote:Now if we could only figure out good repurposes for the Protectobots Emergency Response set, who, unlike the Protectobots Evac Squad, do not resemble their counter parts from the Guard City team from Operation Combination.

If this causes my OCD to kick in and make me buy more Swindles I'm going to disguise myself as a robot with Humvee parts and stalk you relentlessly! That is a far more awesome attempt to justify impulse buys than anything I can come up with.Delta Magnus wrote:Any and every Swindle in existance as a member of the Swindle family- in my demented headcanon, Swindle refers not simply to an individual but to an enormous criminal family of racketeers, smugglers and con men (and occasionally women) who all happen to have the same name ("Swindle" is actually the family name- only they know their "true" names). The G1 character is simply the best-known member of the family. They operate under different guises, running a variety of business ranging from arms-dealing to bet-fixing to industrial sabotage (the troubles with filming DoTM was a Swindle's fault). Some will take radically unusual guises to decrease the likelihood of their cover being blown, including red sports cars with chest cannons and mental impairments (which are of course clever ruses) and even a Mini-con one time. Every Swindle in every known universe is a part of this multidimensional criminal clan, and any identity they have that suggests otherwise is false information. There are even reports that some Swindles have changed their identities entirely and aren't even called Swindle at all. You too could have a Swindle in your home! They could be anyone! They could be you! They could be me! They could even be them!
TL;DR, this is an excuse for me to buy all the toys named Swindle, as A: I love the name, B: toys named Swindle tend to have a habit of being awesome, and C: the idea of an interdimensional family of gangsters taking advantage of the multi-continuity nature of the franchise is hilarious. It actually started after I acquired FP Swindle, and then realized I still had the (rather awesome) Movieverse Swindle, and also the Minicon that comes with Armada Starscream.
(For the record, Prime Knock Out is totally a Swindle. The vanity, the enthusiasm for automobiles and mechanical parts, his less than trustworthy nature...A dead giveaway I tell you!)
