The whole point behind the 1988 powermasters gimmick. was they transformed into engines that either locked or un-locked the transformation process.

I honestly don't see how creating a power master for universe TRU Darkwing would make any sense. as the powermaster would not be able to lock or un-lock the transformation process.

Also I just don't see any huge holes/gaps where the powermaster could squeeze into to form a engine on universe TRU Darkwing.

I don't think anyone wants to see the doubledealer route. where a fake square box is created to peg into the toy for the powermaster to squeeze into in engine mode. if anyone rembers doubledealer was able to fit the powermaster engine inside his stomach in engine mode. double dealer also came with a light blue square piece that got attached to the long big missles where the engine could squeeze into.

Personally I'd rather do without the powermaster engine for universe TRU Darkwing. I'd prefer to think of UNIVERSE tru darkwing as a pre-powermaster form or a after evoulved form,where he got rid of his powermaster or the powermaster died of old age or whatever.

Maybe Darkwing stepped on him, you know, by mistake. Think about it. You've got gazillion tall robots walking around with 6' 0" humanoids. They're bound to be scrapping fleshbags off their feet at some point.

I don't need it to. It was a planned part of the kit. I like Power Masters, Head Masters, Target Masters, etc.

I'm well aware of what Doubledealer is, he's one of my favorite TF toys. He's part of the reason I have my tattoos. Yes, I'd be pleased with the "Doubledealer route".

Which one is it? The former doesn't work me. I have him partered with Botcon Dreadwind. He's neo-G1, so there's that for my end of the fiction in my collection. I'd personally like to see Venksta deliver on this intended part of the kit that was left out of the final product. I'm not bashing him or anything like it. The point was the Master figure was the entire selling point for me. The rest is easily passable for me otherwise.

Comparison pic of the upgraded Classics/Universe Darkwing & his G1 counterpart

Didn't realise how closely the lower torso of Classics/Universe Darkwind(g) ressembles that of his G1 counterpart until I took this photo. Seems like HASBRO designed the Classics/Universe Silverbolt figure with the intention to repaint him to Darkwing from the very beginning?....Hmmm...

I got mine a few days ago so he did ship a batch recently. Looks great, especially when next to the G1 figure as pictured above.
