Even the director admitted that if you removed the faction symbols there would be pretty much nothing to identify it as Transformers. It's a good giant robot show, but it's not really a Transformers show.

Insurgent wrote:Masterforce, while is a good little series in it's own right, is my least favourite of the Takara collection. It doesn't feel like tf's like the other two do.
And the guy who turend into a jet (Hawk) was a transformer.Duke of Luns wrote:Hey, what if they made a live-action series based on Masterforce? That'd be a neat idea.
They did. Power Rangers.
unfortunatly not! the destrons have 3 pretenders, 3 headmaster Juniors, 2 regular god masters, a double godmaster, and i giant robot.
the cybertrons have 4 pretenders, 3 headmaster juniors, 4 godmasters, a 1 giant robot/headmaster/pretender!

Hmm, didn't know that. But the difference in style is what I feel makes it the most memorable and unique. It also makes sense, taking the desguise angle to a whole new level, and having the Transformer characters actually able to intereact with normal people in regular situations is a neat idea.
