Michael Bay's blog has updated with official confirmation that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will be starring in Transformers 3.
While she has a wealth of modelling experience including some past work with Michael Bay this will be her first major acting role. It's so far unclear whether she will be playing Mikaela or a new character.

I believe Megan was not so bad in the first movie. And in my opinion in the second movie the very bad thing was the script.
It is stupid to not confirm her just because she is quite thin and not tanned in this period.
She is in any case a nice girl and, above all, she is Mikaela Banes.
If they want to put a relevant female character in the third movie they would respect movie continuity and go on with Mikaela/Megan!
I hope Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will not play Mikaela Banes.
In that case, I'll forgive Bay and Habro/Paramount only if they will give us a huge Human Alliance Grindor toy with pretender Alice.

I'm torn, in some ways, I want her to be Mikaela but in some ways I want her to be Carly. I want her to be carly but I know they don't have time in the script to explain it well:/ maybe they will have a page in the prequel comics:/

She looks meh, definately prefer Megan Fox over her.
If they really want to get rid of Megan than i hope this girl is playing someone different. I really dislike changing actors and keeping the chars the same, doesn't work well for me.

I just hope she can act better than...that other person that I will no longer be meantioning. If I could have my way I'd have only 4 humans in the whole movie, and they'd be Sam, Lennox, Eps, and Galloway just so the Autobots can blow his head off. And maybe Sam's parents.
