Yeah, 10 to 1 odds you're right. I can't argue with that. I just got upset because nobody wanted to even acknowledge that the "1" even existed. As far as being over it with Jetfire, done. Nobody wants to meet me halfway so I'm not wasting anyore of our time.
As for my kids, you are way off base and I think you know full well what I was talikng about.
On to the next issue and or perk with Jetfire...it was mentioned that the SR-71 is what, 4 times the length of a semi-truck? Obviously, the toy is nowhere near that in relation to Leader Prime so how do they figure on making this thing look proportionately even close to correct to it's movie likeness without using a voyager class figure of Prime to merge with? ...or have I mis-heard how and what this thing is supposed to combine with? As it stands, I'm getting the scary mental picture of the old, cheesy Go-bot Power Suits, only super-sized.

I don't see the big deal with the cane. If you don't like it just don't display him with it.
The more I look at the picture of Jetfire's robot mode however, The more I wonder how the combination will work.

I wonder if he will have mystical AllSpark type powers ... considering his described condition, that's the only way I can see Optimus benefitting from them combining.

dont know if anybody has pointed this out, but animated ultra magnus has a cane (ok a hammer) with a block on top of it, i bet that supports him anyway. canes are in, hammers are out.
The thing is as some have pointed out the cane isnt as old age, or weiryness, but of saying "im going stick this, where sun dont shine" the big shadown behind megatron.

A cane?
c'mon...
(otherwise...best looking ROTF figure yet)
So is Hugh Laurie gonna be doing his voice?
"Even if we were to reactivate him Megatron would still suffer from, Meglomaniacocity. A desire for power no matter the cost. Best to watch your back Prime."

Big trouble in a small package.

I like it, and the "must make do with whatever's at hand since there is no cybertronian repair facilities on Earth" theory goes well with the walking-stick
All I know is that I'm going to bang my head on the wall the moment Hasblow releases a premium version of him long after I got the initial version of him, Im just too impatient to wait for a better redeco that may or may not come out while I see the aisles decked out whatever's in the current line.

I think that the cane is just kibble that had no where else to go. Or at least that's what I hope, and not that this is a sign of assisted living Transformers to come.

Well, Hasbro just loves to be vague and wishy-washy with the mentioning of many things, particularly TBA series like the 2nd movie premium series I bet 75 to 1 is definitely coming out. I dunno about the 'Hasblow' remark, I just get irritated sometimes at how they can be so detached from, and subsequently misintepret some of the good questions the fanbase sends them. *shudders at the "We'd LOVE to make a universe Deluxe-class Wheelie!" answer*

Re: ROTF Leader-Class Jetfire Revealed!
Look it is not the cane or any characters' use of a cane.
It is this specific character in this Bay-verse, I am not against change I grew up on G1, was there at the beginning of Beast Wars, and been there ever since.
The cane is a problem for me because if Bay says they can do all this awesome turning into spaceships without getting into a larger craft that would have much more power and changing there form without some kind of outside power source or larger machine doing all that for them (Teletran-1 G1, statis pod scanner/protoform Beast Wars.
Then there should be no reason he cannot just transform him up a new leg.
Yoda was a "force user" in the old movies they could not make him float all over, he does not have to walk since he could basically fly. But he cannot transform him self into a space worthy ship and traverse large intergalactic distances, unless there are going to be prequels of the prequels.
I can completely understand a person getting hurt in the woods and needing to fashion a cane to get out, but a Robot that can turn into a spaceship should be able to fly himself outta there and regenerate/magic up his leg.
For that matter Bumblebee should be able to magic his sound processor up too. But they know kids these days can not pay attention to some one talking for too long so they made him have that horrid choppy random ADD voice.
Also, what did he find that was strong enough to support his huge cybertronian body, did he make it out of himself?
