According to Comingsoon.net, Paramount has pushed the release date of TF2: Revenge of the Fallen to Wed., June 24. Sweet, two days less to wait!

Seibertron.com is getting word from several sources, including Comingsoon.net, that the release date for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has been moved up two days, from June 26th 2009 to June 24th.

We have not received confirmation from any official source - so until we do, treat this as a rumour.

And don't forget to keep checking seibertron.com for all your Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen related news, including the upcoming teaser trailer premiering with the Michael Bay-produced Friday the 13th remake (opening tomorrow night) and premiering online on monday the 16th.

I forgot to add earlier that this isn't really a biog surprise since almost every big summer release gets moved from Friday to Wednesday now.

I might even throw caution into the wind and see it Tuesday night.

Sounds like they may be pushing it out on the Wednesday so that the USA gets the movie before (technically) markets like New Zealand and Australia who generally have Thursday releases for movies.

That and to get the news headline Monday of a big 5 day total. Studios seem to like those "extended weekend" numbers.

the trailer premieres online monday? damn...i thought it would pop up online some time today.

though apparently there's already youtube versions but i want my first viewing to be a proper trailer in "full hd" and not some hand held camera on youtube. so i must wait, woe is me. :sad:

I'd love that if it was true, because it'd be on my birthday. A birthday where I could watch TF: ROTF in the cinema... on a premiere... could a birthday be any better? I think not. :grin:

If I had known this information far enough in advance with the first movie it would have made my life a lot easier. I threw a party centered around the release of the first movie and I was pushing my luck getting tickets for every one when I did. As it ended up, the party wound up being on the 3rd with me getting 10 tickets for the midnight showing and 3 tickets for the first showing 8 hrs. later on the morning of the 4th (for me & my kids). The party date had been moved to the night of the 2nd until I discovered the tickets were alreaady sold out well.

Now I know far in advance and have no plans whatsoever to host a party around this. Go figure.

Dude, here's what you gotta do. As soon as the advance tickets go on sale get yourself a ticket for the midnight showing on the 23/24th.
Hopefully you work the day shift 'cause youre' going to need a nap before you go stand in line and catch the movie. Afterwards, try NOT to ride out the adrenaline rush. Chill, go grab another nap, then get up and go to an AM/PM or some other gas/grocery stop and get 32oz. of the stoutest excuse they have for coffee (get 2, you'll need one to re-heat for later). If you don't drink coffee, start! It's your girlfriends birthday, sacrifices must be made or you'll spend the rest of the relationship sleeping on the couch.
You'll get to see the movie AND be able to spend the whole day with your girlfriend. Your ass will be dragging on the 25th, but if you follow my advice, you'll score twice in 24hrs. :grin:

Whaaat, like none of the rest of you have ever been in a position like this? Hell, I've walked into Satrbucks at 5:30 in the morning before going home and getting ready for work at 9:00 and I hadn't seen home since the day before.
