Audi never gave there permission to use their vehicle. Thats why it had such a small role in the ROTF. Also if you notive the toy for Sideways, it resembles an Audi R8, but no where are there any Audi symbols on it, and on the back packaging it simplly says "Sports car mode" Not "Audi R8 mode" for its vehicle description.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Audi totally gave them permission to use their car

Interesting. I'd be pretty pissed if i were Audi concidering how little screen time their product recieved, and practicly no logo palacment either. Also why did they get the shaft with the Toy? Seems GM, Boing, Skorski, Peterbuilt, Mack and every other car/truck/aircraft manufactuer was given licencing credit except for Audi. Thats not something that is simpley just forgoten.

Dead Metal wrote:They had their logo placed on the car, there was also media coverage about the car being used before the movie came out. The reason why the toy is not licensed and therefore not accurate to the actual car is due to the fact that Audi is owned by VW, who do not want their cars to be associated with war toys.
