Darth Bombshell wrote:IDW mentioned that the cast of NA/TF would be the guys who appeared in "Infiltration", plus one character on the Decepticon side who would make his first and only appearance in that title. It wouldn't bother me all that much since NA/TF is being kept out of canon for the most part, something this Spotlight seems to throw out.

Noisemaze wrote:Why do they have to keep that stupid conehead look? It could've gone either way, the original toy had a regular head (see the directions), the cartoon had the conehaed. Why did they choose to stick with the goofy conehead look? They stuck with Rumble being red even though he was blue in the cartoon so why couldn't they go with the normal seeker head instead of this stupid ass conehead?
Psychout wrote:Are they expecting the avengers/TF story to cross over with the maIin G1 story arc? Otherwise this Ramjet oneshot aint going to tie up with the bigger story.
Like the classins model they have used too, looking forward to this.

No, it doesn't.

To make Ramjet, Thrust, and Dirge look different from Skywarp, Starscream, and Thudercracker. In the underwater battle from "The Ultimate Doom part 1" you can't tell Skywarp
Thundercracker, and Starscream apart visually only through their voices and which why you can't tell if was Thundercracker or Skywarp who became Scrouge in TF:TM (because Bombshell became Cyclonis).

No, it doesn't.
I too was under the assumption it was...
Calvatron wrote:They said it takes place in continuity between infiltration and escalation, but the events that take place have no effect what-so-ever, so it's in, but it doesn't really matter one way or the other, unless of coarse this ramjet spotlight screws up all of that.

And you really think it won't?
Calvatron wrote:Probably not, my guess is someone had a hard on for the toy when they were a kid. Basically we've reached a point where TF's need some new stuff. So the choice is reinvent the old or move onto something new. Well, they've reinvented for 2 years almost now, things are expanding(topics and involved hands) and we happen to have a head writer with a nack for inventing deep characters from almost blank slates. So my (i'd like to think educated) guess is someone liked the toy/character for no special reason (not personal toward whomever) and the creative team said go with it, we'll see what you do and tell you what we think. This is a time of reinvention for TF's, so if you're just getting in its a good time, and if you're an old fan you have something new to see.
