No joke... Could be a lil' humor for letting him live and not get killed in the movie

Yes, it would have. However, it bothers me that he couldn't even scractch him. I don't expect Prime to beat Megs in 5 seconds, but I do expect him to put up a fight that's actually enjoyable to watch. A fight that's too one sided is kind of boring.

Furthermore, even after Megatron just got bombarded by the F-22s and he was pretty messed up, Prime could have stepped in and finished him. Instead, he just gave up and told Sam to stick the cube in his chest.

Here's some things to think about.

1.) Movie Prime is based of G1 Prime. (same morals, ideals, etc.)

2.) Prime calls Megatron his brother, so for all we know, he could be his actual brother. (it's never been confirmed (that I know of, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) whether or not that's literal or figurative.)

3.) Prime was pushed into killing Bonecrusher. (Bonecrusher killed numerous people in one fell swoop.)

4.) Megatron was *MASSIVE* and a brute. (He could've slagged all the Autobots (aside from Prime) on his own. I mean...he tore Jazz in half with his bare hands!)

Prime is not a "First Strike" kind of guy. He's peaceful and a pacifist in general. He'll fight only when need be. He's not the killing type unless he's trapped with no way out. Prime *HAD* to kill Bonecrusher, because if he didn't...'Crusher would've killed him or more humans or both. Prime decided it was better to off him and save the people.

Megatron is his brother (again unsure of that definition) and he couldn't bring himself to kill him. He was willing to sacrifice himself to save us and keep from killing his brother.

He was trying to do the right thing and it backfired. Sam ended up having to kill Megatron in the end.

That's why Prime was thrashed by Megatron, he was conflicted inside and out.

Well, Megatron had to have his moment considering the time he had on-screen. If that meant looking overpowered then so be it.

Not to mention the fact that he got missile'd repeatedly. After taking a beating like that, I doubt I'd be very coherent either. Especially since I think he took one upside the head.
