That Skids is nice looking. I like the pink paint apps on him. That's a cool mold: nice alt mode, cool looking bot mold with a ton of hidden details molded on and a satisfying transformation. I wish his shoulder guns could be out in alt mold though.
I think I may have some unposted pics I recently took of Skids that I need to do something with.

I was an inch from puling another trigger today. They had buy one get one half off on their discounted items.
They had MP Bluestreak for 70$ and YOTG Optimus for 100$, so it would come out to both for 135$, which is 105$ USD. So it would come out to 67.5$CDN for each of them which is 52$USD. Not bad prices and pretty much what Cobo just paid. But i dont know, it still feels like those are the prices these should have been in the first place so it still doesnt sound like a great deal to me.
shajaki wrote:I'm with them Densh. It's the best official Devs out there, that's the best price for that version, and that kinda money will barely buy you two limbs of the TW Devs.
Yeah, I hope one of my seibertronian friends buys it at that price, I would be happy for them to get a deal I wish I could have gotten
And I dont understand the comparisons to getting CW Devy at a cheaper price, that isnt the point. Of course it was be a cheaper price fo you guys, it wasnt imported, and some got it on sale. The cool point here is that you now have the option to get Takara's superior Devy shipped for the total cost equivalent to Hasbro's MSRP or cheaper. So its as if you are at a store now where there are those 2 Devies selling for the same price. One is Hasbro and one is Takara. People never have that luxury, but HLJ gives it to you now. And thats not even a made up scenario, TFSource currently has Hasbro Devy for 189. So anyone who is lookig for a devy now has the option to get the takara one as the cheaper option. Thats amazing.

Well I wasn't comparing, just stating what I paid. There seemed to be a question of what the CW Devy retailed for. If anything I was confirming what a good price HLJ has.william-james88 wrote:And I dont understand the comparisons to getting CW Devy at a cheaper price, that isnt the point

Three times now! In like 2 friggin months!!! eBay!!!!
1) I bought a Botcon 2016 set for less than 200 CAD shipped. Full well expected it was a scam, but figured why not? Buyer protection is there for a reason. Unshockingly, it was a scam. Whatevs.
2) I bought a TW Scavenger. It was on a whim, but nice and cheap, 80ish CAD shipped. Thought, maybe too good to be true, but lets see. SCAM.
3) Just now? Found out my CW Deluxe Groove was a scam. I bought it the night it dropped onto BBTS and Amazon, and the price was on par so I never expected THAT to be a scam too.
Buyer protection saved me all three times. But that's not the point. The point is, WHAT THE HELL MAN? These sellers collect money, then unregister their accounts. So the items go blank, and I bet that's enough to confuse some people and screw them out of their money. But it's still totally possible to open claims and such. But damn. This is getting annoying.

I'm glad you were able to get claims in and your money back, but that is SUPER lame!

Has anyone else seen reports of this?
I opened up Vicky. When I was transforming Miss Torso into bot mode, I noticed how crazy hard it was to slot that double hinge knee together, but I got it. I fiddled with the other four for a bit, and then I figured it's time for combining. When I picked up torso gal again I noticed her knees had CRAZY stress makes. Here's what happened:
See Onslaughts inside knee here? Look at that nub thingy.

See torso girls inside knee? No nub thingy.
(same position I had Onslaught in)

THAT'S BECAUSE that piece is backwards.
(opposite position Onslaught was in)

So when I forced the double hinge to do what its supposed to do, it damn near pushed that nub thingy right though the plastic.

SO. I have another trip to TRU in the books

I'm not gonna try to fix her, just exchangin. Got one secured via the telemaphone this morning! Then I'ma shave the thing off of the new one. Bingo Bango problem solvedcarytheone wrote:Unfortunately all Vicky sets seem to have that misassembly issue. From what I hear you can just shave those tabs off with no problems in any mode. Shame about them stress marks. Will a hair dryer take those out?Cobotron wrote:I have heard of this problem. It was discussed a bit in the Vicky thread. But I had not seen it illustrated so well. Sucks butt lumps for sure. I don't think a replacement will be assembled correctly, but it won't have those gigantoid stress marks.
I was actually going to suggest that. After seeing what Metroplex goes for these days, its easy to assume he'll go up as well.Ironhidensh wrote:I'm going to get it. Speaking of Devs, anyone surprised there's no yellow G2 one yet?

What shocked me was that last years SDCC Devs. That strange chromey thing (while still nice) to me wasn't the obvious choice.

Well, with all the fun Hasbro's been having with the G2 repaints, I'm confident we'll still get a Defensor and Devs in their 90's glory. Something tells me they're fans of making moneycarytheone wrote:I'm with you on that, a con exclusive seemed perfect for Yellastator.shajaki wrote:carytheone wrote:Shocked actually.shajaki wrote:Speaking of Devs, anyone surprised there's no yellow G2 one yet? This is repaint wars after all!

I was excited at the premise. I was not excited at the execution. Mainly the colors. But I was still committed to getting her cause y'know, me. In hand, I'm happier with her than I thought. Across the board, the remolding is pretty good. It is pretty lame to have them all made from repurposed male molds (Breakdown was an especially bad choice) but all things considered its not bad. Jumpstream is my least favorite.
Really, I'm pretty happy to have a brand new combiner. I loves my G1 more than anything, but it's nice to have something fresh too. Missus Torso is pretty awesome, the Swordbiner is sick, and that Victorion head sculpt is pretty amazing. I don't know if I'd recommend her, but I'm glad I have'r.
