And see, Hasbro's is heavily flawed. But for some reason I find it endearing, and want it because he's SO different from Takara's which makes him unique.

I hear ya there. This is the most diverse combiner we're getting with only Afterburner being anywhere similar. Makes for some interesting choices for sure! I'd love to get the Hasbro Strafe and Scrounge for standalones though.

I used to only worry about my figures looking the part. But when all these 3P combiners started coming out, there was almost nothing official to compare them to. Oh yes, they really are! The fact that I can swap limbs between combiners so quickly and easily is fun, as is the transformation! I mentioned that BC Prime has become one of my favorite transformers in my collection, and he is so simple to transform but he looks the part so well, and he can combine should I ever want him to!

the fact that there are so many different heads is just... wow. makes it difficult depending on which version you like. Funny you mention that, I find it easier to buy now that I have a child interested in them

That said, I should just spend the money on MPs and 3rd Party MP-ish stuff. More fun for me in the long run

I remember when I saw Devastator in Toys R Us not long after his retail release. I had coupons that day, so he was purchased. If I didn't have the coupons I wouldn't have purchased him then. Ended up getting him for the same price as Metroplex a few years before, I can say that I won't be getting anywhere close to that with TT Fortress on the way later this year though.

If Hasbro's version hits $100 or less...farts.

I have been working a shirt-ton the past couple weeks, and kinda grumpy the past few days. My bosses are idiots.

So this showed up.





First impression: I wasn't thrilled.
The only one I liked right off the bat was the Croc. I thought Hardy was a little off, arms extended felt weird and legs felt too short. But a day later I'm really digging him.

Galvatron...... oh man... I was really let down at first. And while I'm feelin him a little more, I'm still not thrilled. I love the cannon mode. Nailed it. And the bot mode is perfect, up to a point. I assumed his helmet thingy was the same as PMOP, but its more like a mask. And his head barely moves when its up. It looks really bad in my opinion. Less detrimental but still irritating is the cannon arm placement. It's awkward and removes a lot of awesome posing opportunities.

So this is an open letter to Perfect Effect:
You guys have been making a business out of upgrading Combiners and Titans, so get on this!

This is how I feel as well. I've held off for a long time on getting a 3rd party galvy, 'cause I really thought this guy would fill that ache. He doesn't. At all. In really hate being so down on this guy all because of his head gimmick and cannon placement, but I am. At the end of the day, I don't feel as if I got my money's worth. Fairly certain he is eBay bound.
