As far as Transformers work, it's been an exhausting week
I think I'm done spending money for a bit especially after my Sweep army and today's RID find!



Scorponok hanging out with Paralon.
It bugs me how much the mold is ALMOST a BW Scorponok, but it certainly doesn't detract from what he actually is. I do like Paralon more though.





This OP mold isn't fantastic, but I've always liked it and this is a good remold. But again, the Clash version (white) is the superior of the two for me. Love the clear blue





Windblade. So scandalous. First a "fan" figure with a questionable design, now inducted into RID with complaints of simplicity and lack of paint apps. Well, I liked the first Wind, and I like this mold even more. She feels just as posable, more stable with much better feet/heels, and a more solid jet mode.















My one and only complaint: those damn visible hands in jet mode. If not for that, I would say this mold is perfect. And simply cannot wait for the TAV version to be released

Nice stuff! I keep laughing everytime I see that black axe Hasbro keeps giving out with those Pwer Surge Prime toys. Its like "sure, you can have that too, not like it costs us anything extra"

I have a few questions though, do you preffer Paralong because of the Scorponok homage or is there more to it?

Also, dont know if you saw me asking, but can your platinum sweeps duck their heads when in alt mode like the original mold can?

That Windblade mold blows the old one out of the sky.

Hell yeah Sentinel Rules! So far, he is one of the better triple changers we have ever gotten since G1 (admitedly not a hard task to pull off). Like Hellsceam pointed out, I really like those panels and how fun they are. I especially like those train wheels since by flipping them, you create a new outline for the train where it is larger at the bottom and slimmer at the top.

2) I hope that wave of RiD starts showing up around here soon. I really want to get Scorponok and Windblade. The TRU Prime will be my Lost Light Thunderclash and I cannot wait for Starscream. Plus, Legion Groundpounder please!

Are you dead set on the Hasbro version of Windblade D-Max, or will you get both? Because what I have seen happen with this TAV line is that they end up on amazon.com from japanese sellers (free shipping), and many for about 20$ or so. I will wait to see if thats the case with windblade before I get her. And its worth waiting because these RID toys get repackaged in later waves so you dont have to worry about missing out on a toy in a particular wave if that wave sells out.

What looks silly? We'd need to push the head down in alt mode inorder to unfold the landing gear. With these newer ones, the landing gear is always able to unfold. At least thats how mine are, dont know if thats just mine.

I anticipate with Windblade that she won't get down there. I never considered the takara version for price reasons, but if she would end up on amazon like ole Knockout, I would jump maybe if I don't have her yet

The Reprolabels set has space boat Scourge face stickers! I don't think I showed the alt mode

Recent but small influx of Megatron's from that UK TF Con (Robot Roll Call?) dropped his price a bit. Price has been much worse, and it's only going to go up, so y'know. Opportunity and all.

Look at the original mold if you have a sec to see what I am talking about, I think they retooled the mold for this platinum release so that the head can no longer sink down. Which is too bad.

Everyone else see Perfect Effects second Bruticus upgrade set, PC-10? It has a new head, stock for Shockwave, and bigger back cannons. All I wanted was the back cannons. Shockwave stock and replacement head are unnecessary in my opinion, but 35 USD before shipping for two guns sucks so I found a better option: Voyager Scattershot's silver cannon. Bought one a while ago, and a second off a local pal last night and bam, have a look.
