shajaki wrote:I feel ya. I'm super excited about Lio Kaiser, but NOT looking forward to TWO friggin brawl moldsD-Maximus_Primal wrote:For me, I would like to go Hasbro for price, but I just can't deal with the bad Brawl mold![]()
shajaki wrote:And see, Hasbro's is heavily flawed. But for some reason I find it endearing, and want it because he's SO different from Takara's which makes him unique.D-Maximus_Primal wrote:and the head that does not fit Computron on that mold, nor do I really want a straight repaint of Streetwise nor do I want the Superion head again considering I already have it twice. I'd love the arms and Scrounge, but the Takara one is so much better.
shajaki wrote:I used to only worry about my figures looking the part. But when all these 3P combiners started coming out, there was almost nothing official to compare them to. And after handling countless CW/UW figures, they're simple AND look the part. Even with upgrades they're a fraction of the price, and most importantly: STILL FUN!D-Maximus_Primal wrote:But either way, I do not want Quantron as he is so much and having watched 3P reviews, they are just too fiddly and complicated for my taste!
shajaki wrote:Ugh... I know. And I thought I'd be saving a little bit of money by skipping most of Hasbro's TR in favor of Takara's, but then they have to go and have completely different headsD-Maximus_Primal wrote:And yes, adulting is hardI really shouldn't have bought Galvs and Wheelie with Comp coming this month, and I plan to buy the deluxes and titanmasters on sight since I plan to make a trip on Tuesday maybe. I needs money and less adult!
Leonardo wrote:Take your lips off my pipe!
Funny you mention that, I find it easier to buy now that I have a child interested in themIronhidensh wrote:Yes, adulting is hard. It gets even worse when you add kids to the mix.

Right?! Hasbro seems to have put more effort into Lio than they did ComputronD-Maximus_Primal wrote:I am super excited for him too. The Brawls molds are a disappointment, but hey at least they have new and awesome heads!
Don't even bring up FortyD-Maximus_Primal wrote:Brainstorm to me needs his faceplate, same with Cerebros, so I like the hasbro versions again there, instead of the faceplateless Fortress and Brainstorm.

I'm not going to buy HasbroMax until he's on sale, but that's one big expensive bugger to double up on![]()
Ditto. I actually have an opportunity to nab Comps this week for $90-ish, but I've decided to wait for a sale instead. FM will have to be a mad sale impulse buy.D-Maximus_Primal wrote:shajaki wrote:Don't even bring up FortyD-Maximus_Primal wrote:Brainstorm to me needs his faceplate, same with Cerebros, so I like the hasbro versions again there, instead of the faceplateless Fortress and Brainstorm.![]()

I'm waiting on fort Max for a sale too. I know I can get him for $120 if I wait until closer to Christmas, which I can like I did for Devastator

I remember when I saw Devastator in Toys R Us not long after his retail release. I had coupons that day, so he was purchased. If I didn't have the coupons I wouldn't have purchased him then. Ended up getting him for the same price as Metroplex a few years before, I can say that I won't be getting anywhere close to that with TT Fortress on the way later this year though.D-Maximus_Primal wrote:Saw him on my trip to town. I know that feel, but I think that's the nature of the beast.shajaki wrote:My bosses are idiots.

Galvatron...... oh man... I was really let down at first. And while I'm feelin him a little more, I'm still not thrilled. I love the cannon mode. Nailed it. And the bot mode is perfect, up to a point. I assumed his helmet thingy was the same as PMOP, but its more like a mask. And his head barely moves when its up. It looks really bad in my opinion. Less detrimental but still irritating is the cannon arm placement. It's awkward and removes a lot of awesome posing opportunities.
