heh, Transformers & He-Man were my primary toy lines growing up!

The fact that the Pretenders make me think of a hybrid between the two brands may be why I enjoy them so much.

I grew up basically just with (and I think in this order):
-Transformers
-TMNT
-Spiderman/Marvel
-Star Wars POTF
-Gundams
-Then, back to TF's with the introduction of Beast Wars. Basically nothing but since :lol:

He-Man was one of the earliest toys I can remember being really into, then TFs and GoBots, I bunch of random stuffs like Thundercats, Wheeled Warriors, Voltron that I dabbed in before really sinking my teeth into GI Joe before giving my soul to the one true master that is video games. I slowly drifted back into TFs not that long ago really and went bawls deep in collecting. I'm currently spending more and more of my time with my one true love

Nice. My order of toy love would be:
-M.A.S.K.
-Legos
-Transformers
-Star Wars
-GI Joe
-TMNT
-Ghostbusters

I never really got into He-Man, but I did dabble in Thundercats as a wee lad.

Oh man, I totally loved TMNT!

When my brother got Beast Wars, then Machine Wars, I thought those were cool.

My kids' interests in Transformers really helped kick things into high-gear.

Oh yeah, somewhere in and around the Spiderman/TMNT era was G2. I distinctly recall being totally jazzed about it. That year I BEGGED for a G2 Optimus Prime. S'funny having nostalgia at the age of 8 :lol:

And I've never really gotten back into TMNT. When a new line premiers (and there's been a lot) I usually buy the first 4 normal Turtles. Y'know, before they start releasing "Space-Surfer-Mike" and junk like that 8-}

So I got a couple updates and stuff. My broken helicopter arm from UW Baldigus has been sent back to A3U who said they'd send me a replacement. I think when something similar happened with BBTS, they paid for the shipping of the parts both ways, but it's no biggie. It cost me less than three bucks. So yay!

I got a Repro haul that I'm still working through, and I put together a CW Exhaust! There is one thing I don't like: the anti-smoking @#!$.
I don't smoke and never have, but I also don't like preachy garbage. Had there been a decent way to cut those things out of the stickers, I would have.

Also, my recent'ishly acquired Fire Guts came with OG stickers unapplied, and I think he looks better without them. But he needed an insignia. I think this Repro (white lined, empty, clear backed) adds that little something he was missing.

I'm actually really surprised that is on those stickers. I'm not a fan of censorship, but that is neither here not there. My point is; isn't repro supposed to do what Hasbro can't or won't? The bottom line is that's a piss poor homage and is not very Decepticon like. "Peace through tyranny, but stay in school and don't smoke kids!" :lol:

More Repro fun. G2icus now has proper insignias, and Orionvil has some con insignias. Kinda bummed about Orionvil cause I bought some proper RID Decepticon ones (black upside down G2 bot symbols) but they're black on clear. So applied they'd be black on black and basically invisible

Anyways according to my local buddies it seems like Brawn/Roadburn are in every Walmart in Edmonton, and I had cabin fever so I figured I'd check the one nearest to me. They had one of each, and I nabbed them. Now to cancel my BBTS ones :lol:

Today lets look at KO OS Arcee!

It is a good solid figure. She's got diecast thighs (I think?), removable pieces from the backpack, and hands that don't have those stupid pieces preventing good holds. But does she fit the part of an MP? While quite pleasing, I gotta say no. And I can't even quite put my finger on why, but she just doesn't cut it. But regardless, if you're a fan of the mold, character, or are just interested, then I say go for it. The price is right

As much as I love oversized bots and Arcee, it's the face that's just a bit off for me. Sure, she ain't gonna look like this, but if I'm paying $50 or more for a figure, there are certain things I gotta have.

With Arcee, I am allzabout her coloring and face....although her Takara Legends satisfies the most, I also love her Hunters coloring and the US Generations release!
