Wally World's probably the cheapest, but they don't always have DVD box sets when you're looking for'em.vectorA3 wrote:Which store will have the best price? Target, wally, TRU, Kmart, Best buy? Plmk

That's Wal-Mart's discounted price. $54.99 is the full standard retail price. Prices may vary depending on the retailer.vectorA3 wrote:dunno where he's gettin that $54 price tag from. Walmart.com listed it at 34.99

It's basically the two previous Shout! factory releases (season 1 and seasons 2 & 3) bundled together in one set, complete with the "Dawn of Future's Past" prequel comic. Other than that, that's it. The only thing missing from the two individual sets is the comic, which is a tremendous shame.Rodimus Prime wrote:So how is this release different from the individual releases, and was the booklet worth the wait?

...the fact that it's missing, that is. The comic itself is great.
Bob Forward and Larry DiTillio themselves were the story consultants for it. It takes place right after "Theft of the Golden Disk" and before episode 1. It was the BotCon 2006 convention story.Rodimus Prime wrote:Sabrblade wrote:It's basically the two previous Shout! factory releases (season 1 and seasons 2 & 3) bundled together in one set, complete with the "Dawn of Future's Past" prequel comic. Is it well-written and goes seamlessly with the BW story?

They got damaged so badly that the crew of the Axalon didn't have time to repair them and instead had their sparks transferred into two blank protoforms. Though, they didn't have the proper equipment to do so, so it was a risky task that could have potentially damaged the two's core mainframes, which explains why Tigatron and Airazor awaken from their stasis pods like to newborns instead of existing people.wigglez323 wrote:But on one hand, Tigertron and Air razor weren't protoforms in it. That's one thing I didn't get. I haven't read it in a while so I forgot if it shows how they got that way but I'm kinda doubting it.
