Who would win Dantie (devil may crie) with ebony and ivory and force edge Vs Alucard (Hellsing) armed with the jackal and the casstle. both accsess to all their powers except for those powers created by those weapons that they are not armed with. No sidekicks allowed.

Alucard. No contest there. Unless you're talking about TV alucard (who shouldn't be allowed to bare that name)

oh and it's Dante (pronounced Danté)

Stalemate. Neither side can win, and neither side would want to back down.

Alucard has been turned into mush and survived, and Dante has been impaled, blown up, electrocuted, crushed, and shot more than enough.

so has Alucard plus he can use his deamon to play mind games with Dante adn dante isn't what you'd call strong in the mental department. Also Alucard can blow out dantes legs like he dose in ep 6 quite easy. finaly Dante is part human and lesser vampires can controle human bodies so he should be able to affect Dante to a greater or lesser degree.

Dante has taken strolls through Hell itself without so much as batting an eyelash. He's never actually gotten scared. He's been sad when someone close to him has died, but he moves on quite quickly.

So? Dracula can die. He died in the original novel, and died in every movie he's ever been in.

Yes he did, but look at alucard, he go, shot, beheaded and stuff, ripped apart, he keeps comming back, he's also said to be the only invinceble Vampire, while Dante is a cool half Deamon but said to be able to die, his Brother almost suceded doing so in DMC3!

I think the best imte for this kind of thread would be once the twoo franchises are finished, Hellsing being concluded next year and DMC when ever Capcom says so.

Capcom officially ending a franchise? yeah right... Onimusha was suposed to end with Oni3 right? To my knowledge the only series capcom ever clearly ended was Megaman Zero. They did it with Megaman X 5 but then decided to keep on making new ones. (wich all sucked)



Anyway. To allthose who think Dante has a chance: Read the Hellsing mangas for the Devil's sake!

And why does it always come down to "This character can't die" or "This character wouldn't kill". You don't have to kill anyone to win a fight.

No, I visit my friend and enjoy watching him playing it, I thought he wanted to kill Dante as he attakt him, but if Dante and vigil are identical twins, wouldn't it mean that both have technically the same weaknesses?
cos my friend said DMC3 playes before the first one, and that once you killed enough monsters during the credids of DMC3 you see a vid in which Vigil dies!

Yes, it is before the first game. No, you don't see a video where Virgil dies.

After the final battle, Virgil decides to end the fighting, and jumps straight into the demon world.

It then goes to Dante and Lady. After a moment of talking, they're faced with a large number of demons. As the credits role, you fight a bunch of demons.

After the credits, it shows Dante, in his suit from DMC1, in a rebuilt Devil May Cry, which now looks like it was in DMC1.

If you kill enough demons, it'll show a video of Virgil charging towards Mundus, the villain from the first game.

He did not die. In fact, you fight him several times in the first game. He's been brainwashed by Mundus, and goes by the name Nelo Angelo. (Not to be confused with Nero from Devil May Cry 4)

Virgil knew he couldn't stop Dante. He knew that he needed to slow Dante down and hurry with opening Sparda's Seal.

heres one way i can see to settle this and thats this coolness chart

Deamon = 5pt
Vampire = 3pt
human = 1pt

so Dante= 6pt(1pt for being half human and 5pt for being half Deamon) and Alucard= 8pt(3pt for being half Vampire and 5pt for being half deamon) plus dante may have his devil trigger but the vast porposion of Alucards powers are seal away by the Cromwell approvle which has 3 levles. also Dante may defeat a god of deamons but Alucard has the same/ more power of one of the oldest gods of darkness Sect.

btw i for one would love to watch this showdown.

Wait wait...wait...When did he become part Demon? That's kind of a big middle finger to the Bram Stoker Novel. (Which, if you don't know, that's where the Dracula Story began)

Because they said so. He's got Virgil's slicked-back white hair, half of their mother's amulet, and when he takes his mask off, and after Dante kills him, there's a flashback to the twins as children.

After THAT, Mundus explicitly calls refers to what Dante just killed as Virgil.

Dante is 1/2 demon and 1/2 human so 5+1=6 but half of that is 3

Alucard is a 'cleverly' named Vampire so... also 3

No, definitely not.

But I did notice a lot of similarities between Dante and InuYasha (I watch the show, I find it interesting, but I don't consider myself a fan in any way). A preference for red clothing, white hair, brightly colored eyes, half-demon heritage, and an over-sized sword. Also, they both have a similarly designed brother, who happens to be a total douchebag.

Also, they both, at some point, get shot by the girl they like. (Dante by Trish, InuYasha by Kikyo--NOT A FAN)

Dante is only half a demon
It's not about coolness. It's not about pretty moves. It's about raw and ultimate ability to destroy the opponent without any mercy. Dante might think he has a chance until Alucard stops playing around with his prey. Dante may be eternal but he is not immortal and Alucard will prove that.

just finished watching the Devil may cry anime and if thats was all i had to go on i'd say that dante is going to get his head kicked in. But i've played DMC3 andsom of DMC2 so i know that dante is much better than he is shown in the series. but still with out the special weapon he can't stand up to Alucard at lvl.1. the only way he's going to match up is with his devil trigger and that will run out after a short time were as Alucard and go on all night.

Dante is the son of both a human and a demon, meaning he has the strengths of both, and limited weaknesses of both, if he has any weaknesses at all.

He has fought his way through all layers of Hell and taken on Mundus, the ruler of the underworld.

He has taken on a Vampire, Nevan, before and has come out on top.

I say the fight goes on for quite some time, lets say 30 mins, then Alucard goes nuts and says "Finally a worthy opponent!"
Then he really does go serious, and ripes of one of Dante's arms, then he goes and splits him in half with his hand, just like in HUOVA3.

unlike other vimpires Alucard can talk with an english accsent i know that there are hints that he's dracula but still he's served queen and country for over 20 years. thats got to earn im a passport right? whats Dante a pizza eting halfling... so he's just like frodo with a bigger sword

Though I am a suporter of Alucard the items destruction is realy just a game thing. There's no events showing that happening. Then again those who think Dante can win this fight haven't read the manga of hellsing.

Just watched the Helllsing ova ep 1-3 and its seriously rocks Alucards is darker and more powerful and goes up against some Dante level enimeis( in takeing into consideration Dantes devil trigger) and he just toys around with them. good luck Dante you'll need it
