This is a serious matter and this is a serious Bumblebee.

He wants to talk to you about serious stuff now.

But seriously, I like it.

....... I agree with Mkall, and even though I was really hoping for a War on Cybertron series (heck, most of us were) I won't pass judgement..... I do feel let down though, but that won't mean it is not going to be a good series, who knows this series may continue in Bay's world. I didn't like RotF, but maybe this series will be good right? I mean hopefully......

Your sig is epic! But sadly too big a file size, only 80 kb are allowed.

And you're right, a cartoon based of the movies might prove to be grate I mean seriously remember the US Godzilla? Piece of sh*t film and monster awesome cartoon series that does the original Godzilla proud.

I happen to like this new style but that opinion is unfortunately going to be buried in the whiny, derisive prattlings of the selfish, the ignorant and the otherwise completely intolerant which makes up the vast majority of this fandom.

Amen. No truer words have been written on here. Every transformers series has it's goods and bads, but it seems many fans have alot of trouble seeing that. Instead of intelligently critiquing something, a series, a figure, a movie, talking about what they did right, or what they did wrong, it just gets a blanket of hateful and senseless remarks. Transformers has a much larger fanbase than many other comic/cartoon/sci-fi franchises and it's a shame people have to be that way. Hats off to the folks who run sites like Seibertron and TFwiki, who give credit to the transformers franchise as a whole.

I'm a bit confused here. Why are 3 or 4 people complaining about people hating on the new bumblebee, when no one had actually bitched about the new bumblebee?

Oh dang it, now I'm complaining about the complainers. :P

Anyway, the new style seems to me like a fusion of movie and Transformers: Hero. Not my look of choice, but it'll all come down to the storytelling and characterisation in the end. Looking forward to seeing what other characters are in the lineup.

yea I also feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone.
Normally we have tons and tons of people complaining about a new design and maybe 3 or 4 that like what they see, and here we have a whole bunch of people complaining about everybody hating this thing while maybe 2 people said they didn't like this first look with just one saying he hates it. :BOOM: 8-}

Yeah, me and some others jumped the gun on this one it seems. It's very weird BB wasn't immediately bashed to pieces as normally happens. Maybe our early comments warded off potential narrow minded remarks? ....Naaah! No chance, just coincidence.

Could it be just an image of a deformed movie BB used just to promote TF in general??
It was my first thought when I saw it...
(Or...I just don't want to accept that this is the new cartoon BB design because I don't like it...)

This looks a lot better than TFA Bumblebee. TFA srsly what a joke.

That Bumblebee sorta reminds me of EJ Su's re-imagined, Nintendo DS drawn BB:

I think the cartoon it's going to be movie-based at some excent... it will have characters we've seen in the movie and in the shape we've seen in the movies. Pretty much because kids now know tranformers from the movie and they want to see the same characters.

I don't see it set on between the movies timeframe. At least not in between ROTF and the third movie because it could cause continuity problems. Maybe a cartoon based on the NEST team and their activities between the first movie and ROTF?? but bumblebee wasn't on nest and that sneak peak looks different than movie bumblebee.... I don't know...

I'm thinking maybe the show could be set before the movies timeline. With transformers leaving cybertron and searching for the allspark all over the galaxy and ultimately arriving to earth. Could it be with transformers on an earth-like planet? has it been done before?

How so?

But there Movie comics cover all this. The Movie Prequel and Defiance cover the pre-movie 1 history, and The Reign of Starscream and Alliance cover the post-movie 1 and pre-ROTF history.

TFA worked very well in animation but in terms of still art (like in packages and boxes for the toys) it was horrible.

Optimus Prime had no shoulders, the box art for Shockwave, Oil Slick, Snarl, Starscream, and Skywarp was so horrible it makes me not want to buy them. Most of the characters had proportions so bad that it made Pat Lee's crappy artwork look great like John Cassaday (who IMHO is the greatest comic book artist today).

But that is just my opinion.

IMO new Bumblebee reminds me a bit of Beast Wars Airazor with that head, color and door shape.
