Blitzwing isn't obscure, but he's a good choice.

Frenzy, Rumble, Ravage, and Lazerbeak to go with Soundwave are nice ideas. I actually want a Racvange myself sometime. Not really obscure tho.

Galvy's gotta have his buddies.

BUT if you're thinking REAL obscure characters, how about Runabout and Runamuck? They're a nice little combo.

Bludgeon is a nice reference to the old Marvel stuff. He's one of those obscure guys who's not obscure if you know the old comics. Ditto Thunderwing.

And if you have too much money and you're looking to releive yourself of some of it, why not check out ehobby's minibot recolors? VERY obscure references, but they are a terriffic reference .... AND they have Bug Bite! And he's cool (I've also been thinking of snatchign up a version of him).

You seem to really know your stuff! I think those characters might not look right, especially bludgeon, next to the others. I think I might go with scourge and cyclonus, and maybe reproduce the part in the movie where unicron turns megatron, skywarp?, and the insecticons into galvatron, cyclonus, and scourge. I would set them up where they would mirror each other! How cool would that look!

Ah hah, but then you'd want a Unicron (Armada version preferrably) and his stand (careful, it breaks). THEN you'd have a nice little setup.

G1 Galvy, Cyclonus, and Scourge were among the first additions to my collection when I started adding things to it. For fun you might wanna consider getting a bootleg Kabaya Galvatron. He's great for Unicron to hold in pistol mode. I had mine set up that way for a while (might need sticky tack to keep it in place). I painted it in the toy's colors, but I'm not too good at it and it chips something fierce tho.

See, unlike like the others, that doesn't look like a distinct mode to me, so much as someone's just been pissing about with the puma mode to make it look like it's flying.

Well I did say unofficial but a lot of people seem to know about this transformation.

I think he used it in the Headmasters cartoon to kill Ultra Magnus, but it wasn't in the instructions, so it's kind of official and kind of not. If you see what I mean. :?

Offhand, I'd say about a hundred-twenty bucks max off Ebay if it's just the figure. I just acquired one with box, foam, instructions, hell, everything, and I'm paying about 230 or so after delivery, etc. Can't wait until he gets here!

Sweet man! You know, I've been looking at unicron for a while, but I just cant bring myself to get him. To me, he looks atrocious in planet form. Although, he does looks great in robot mode (except for that hand)

Really? How about Energon Unicron, he better to you? That's the one I have (got him for $30 at Wallmart) and while the black threw me off for a while I've grown to really see him in that color scheme. Takara's MP Screamer too actually.

Of course my guy's in bot mode ... HOLDING a McUnicron in planet mode. Have your cake and eat it too is my motto.

I would say if you can find the predacon reissue and terrorcons are both excellent figures to have when starting a g1 decepticon collect also sixshot wouldn't be bad either.
