Yeah, only took em three tries to get Megs his arm cannon. Though, I did like the dual arm fusion cannon from the first film.

Sadly though, the arm cannon looks better on Shockwave from what I've seen. In fact shockwave overall looks like a better version of what "Fallen" Megatron was, and perhaps what Megatron should have been from the start.

Even so, we cant take the toys designs too litterally, being even in the ROTF line there were alot of differences between what the toys showed and what the movie displayed.

Sure, though mind you I don't know the classes or classifications of the movie TF toy line (Leader, Voyager, so on and so forth)

The biggest was actually Megatron, the Largest of the toys, whom had a cannon arm. A cannon arm with no elbow as I soon found out. However in "Fallen" his cannon retracts into a claw arm thing which was pretty different then what was pictured from the Hasbro prototype. The hasbro figure is actually closer now though to what Shockwave looks like, with a beefier spare arm however.

Another was Soundwave, which had no robot mode in the film but was given a robot mode in his figure incarnation which was figured to see screen time, and found none.

And then there's Jetfire's face which went through a pretty good change, it's closer to the concept art done by Nizzi then the movie model used for the film.

And finally the Arcee Triplets, which I believe were deisgned with a combiner feature which was adpated in the film animatic and concept art and even partially though the figures, however since the concept was dropped and Hasbro didn't have the time to re-tool and reconfigure the toys, they ended up with some major diffrences from what was filmed.

There's other examples, but these are the mose notable. Megatron, Soundwave, and the Triplets being the top of the list. Hence with this Mega-Truck prototype, we don't know any number of things such as if the cannon extends, retracts, if the proportions are right or if they had to compensate for the truck mode, thngs like that.

hmmmm i will be interested in seeing shockwave (toy form). i think the new megs has potential, although i ultimately beleive that megatron's alt form should be a weapon of some description, but a truck is an interesting take, gives me an impression of nemisis prime or at least a perversion of optimus' alt form. i actually really liked the cybertronian tank best as i feel artillery suits megs best and the refusal to take an earth mode struck of conempt and arrogance which i think suits megatron.

as for his cannon... yeah at least he has it, im thinking it will likely have some sort of gimmick... also it seems that there will be a lot of weapon swapping potential in the new toy lines so i will likely be swapping/converting megs cannon as soon as possible... as well as a paint touch up im sure.

Id luv the post images of what I've found, but Hasbro seems to have a pretty big censor blanket over this forum this go around for some reason. But from that I've seen, the Cybertronian Tank mod seems to be Shockwaves now....accept this one seems like it floats or hovers or something. Interesting stuff it be.

Okay, this just came out of a blue...

I got a little theory about Megatron's "new" ALTmode (It might have been mentioned somewhere already, I don't know.)

Theory: After losing to Jetpower Optimus Prime in Egypt and witnessing The Fallen's demise, Megatron went actually hiding (Even tough he doesn't approve this idea) and scanned something WHICH he tought that would draw as little attention as it could.

He and Prime should so have the game of Chicken in their Truck-modes. Like G1 Optimus and Motormaster (Episode 48 - Masquerade)
