If it works anything like the customer service positions I've worked in the past, they only have access to what's on the release catalog, and if there's no info in the database, they'll just give out that answer. I'd wait to hear from someone higher up before we say for certain the movie score isn't going to be released.
I'm also curious how Sony Music got the rights to the score... I almost wonder if their info is 100% accurate on that. But since they said they did the digging, I'll assume it's correct.

I might be incorrect on that (most likely).

That's one franchise, and i'm well aware that there's more orchestral soundtracks than just the Star Wars movies.
I'm asking if anyone has any figures that shows how well orchestral soundtracks sell.

I am too lazy to search for figures, but I am confident at least the OST Score would sell very briskly, LIKE Star Wars, LOTR Score, et al.

Only 7 are soundtracks, and aside from Titanic, none are orchestral.
This is what i'm trying to find out, just how popular orchestral soundtracks are.
It's alright for us fanboys to jump up and down and scream "WE WANT WE WANT WE WANTTTTTTT" but no record company is going to go to the expense of producing an orchestral soundtrack that only a few thousand people are going to buy.
Of course if someone can come up with more accurate figures, please do.
