I know SOMETIMES that things like this happen. On the soundtrack "what I've done" by Lin. park, is COMPLEATLY diff. then the "what I've done" on their min. to midnight cd. Why is that?? not only is it the music but also the words. anyone know whats going on??

It's just like the musical score has versions that differ from what we heard in the movie too, the words may have been changed because of time and they don't have enough air time to cover a whole song in the movie itself.
Also, certain words mean different things in other countries so maybe they were changed because of that, Harry potter movie titles "Harry potter and the sorcerers stone was changed to harry potter and the philosophers, Nova to americans means a great big powerful explosion but in spanish it means "no go" which explains why the car the Nova did not sell to well there.

Another reason might be is that artists love to put out multiple versions to see which one they or there fans like the best.

Movies, songs and most entertainment is written and re-written all the time.
