What is he going to be? They need to keep his face and look somehow. Mainly the face with the voice and atleast 2 minions.

well in the movie game he was a cannon...but that doesnt count.

Shockwave, Soundwave were's the differnce, they both begin with and "S" and end with wave.

I would like him to become one of em mobile Spybases.

Soundwave is the comm officer, speaks in a robotic monotone, and has a visor, along with the cassette team. He's also loyal to Megatron.

Shockwave is a general, has one eye, a cannon hand, is coldly ,logical, and sometimes thinks that Megatron's brutality makes him a poor leader.

You sir, have described a pirate if I am not mistaken. Let's see, one eye, one hand, cold, all sounds like a pirate so far. We could also try to draw parallels between energon and pirate treasure... what I'm really trying to say is that I would like to see Shockwave in a bandanna sailing the "S.S. Cybertron" around, maybe with Laserbeak sitting on his shoulder squaking about how dead Decepticons tell no tales.

Shockwave was voiced by Corey Burton. And yes he still lives to this day. If you've played FFX and FFX-2 you've heard him in a minor role of Tromel Guado. He definatly sounds much as he did back in the days of G1. I'd definately dog Murphy to get Corey to voice him again if Shockwave does make the movie 2 cut.

Since Soundwave is so close to megatron, I can see Him a a flyer of some sort. If rumors are true, He will be a big character in TF2, and If Megatron is brought back somehow, Soundwave has to be around him.

Oh and as far as size is concerned, I think soundwave should be big. In the show he was practically the same size as Megatron, so he could be a Leader class sized something.

Isn't it funny how Optimus Prime "has" to be a truck, but Soundwave can be a stealth jet, a spy vehicle, or any number of other things and nobody flips out? Maybe there is logic hiding somewhere in this fandom after all.

Heck, they coulda done some minor alterings to Barricade's appearance, mostly in color scheme, and passed him off as Soundwave fairly easily. Especially since Frenzy is basically Barricade's minion in the movie.

Notice how Bumblebee, the smallest Autobot in G1, became bigger than Jazz in the movie?

I really hope they don't shrink him down, though. I did wonder why Bumblebee was bigger than Jazz, too. He's mentioned as being the smallest Autobot tons of times in the canon. Maybe it was just because Jazz would naturally choose a sleek, sexy sports car, and there aren't many of those that are, well, bigger than the Camaro?

Speaking of big, I really, REALLY hope they put in Skyfire. He was enormous.

Especially considering the fact Prime and Soundwave are the most-recognized characters by the general public and in Soundwave's case, it was all about his alt mode.

I think Blackout had a bigger Soundwave vibe over him. He's got the huge hulking body, a similar head and colours, a very high rank (second to Starscream), the task of a reconnaisance mission and of course a minion.

My idea.
Megatron is alive. crawls to some 3rd world county. some kid is listening to a tape player. megatron kills everyone and use the allspark shards in his chest to create a new army. soundwave is that tape player.
then soundwave hooks himself up to some amps and becomes agiant speaker system transformer.
yes it sounds retarded but I made it up just right now.

if anything, he should at least have Laserbeak and ravage with him!
