Can someone explain something to me? W.T.F. is it with everyone spooging over Halo!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
In terms of storyline, yes, it is awesome. In terms of gameplay, it's lame. Half Life beats it over the head with a stick with their source engine, which I'm pretty sure if the Microlosers over at headquarters ever saw, their heads would explode, or they'd kill themselves in jealous over a good program that actually works and a better game than they've ever made.
Master Chief is not god. You are not cool for saying so.
This thread is about Star Trek.
Halo III was released, it's freakin over! Get over it!

Now, as we were saying...

Star Trek not as famous as Star Wars? What universe do you live in?
Trekies are more common than Star Wars fans any day. Don't get me wrong I love Star Wars but there's a major difference here...
Star Wars consists of 6 movies of whitch several of its fans only like 4, 5, and 6, the first 3 movies to come out back in the 70's. There's a cartoon series "Clone Wars" that takes place between 2 and 3. I've heard talk of another series set to take place between 3 and 4 but not much about it recently. Star Wars allso has several comic books and games non of which are verry interesting at least not in my opinion. Mainly though when people hear Star Wars they think of the movies.
Star Trek on the other hand has 5 complete series. Each lasting about 7 seasons (with some exceptions) Star Trek allso has several movies out. They allready beat out the Star Wars movies before Captain Picard was ever introduced. I'm not sure exactly how many movies there are but I'm sure Sto_vo_cor could help me out with that information.
No matter where you turn you're bound to see a Trekie. I live in a preddy small town but there are at least 10 Trekies I know of here alone.
The only Star Wars fans I'm really aware of in town, half of them are allso Trekies. There's only like maybe 4.
Star Trek has the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel.
What does Star Wars have? Thoughs six movies.
There's more to be associated with Star Trek than Star Wars, Star Trek has a biger fan basis.

BTW You wanna help me out here and fill in exactly how many movies there are. I think the first 10 were made with just Kirk or maybe 10 was the one with both Kirk and Picard. I'm really not sure how many movies were made pre-Generations and the only movie before that I really like anyway is the one with the whales.

The next movie comming out is a prequill that's supose to be how Kirk and Spock meet or some sheet like that. I guess they're trying to make it as a filler between Pike and Kirk because Captain Pike is allso supose to appear in the movie.
The only bad part about all this is that non of the original cast will be in the movie. Pluse didn't they learn that Prequills are bad when Enterprise got canceled?

Saber Prime wrote:Well Time Travel has changed TF history before.
Humans never encountered the Borg till TNG.
Then in First Contact they went back in time and some Borg got left behind and found durring Enterprise.
That Enterprise episode completly changes how the humans came into contact with the Borg in the first place and would make it so Q never had anything to do with it.
It would allso completly change how the Borg addapted to our technoligy sence the Borg were allso from the future and exsposed to us much earlier than orginally.
I'd bet that in the alternate universe created after the Borg were found in Enterprise the Technoligy Admiral Janeway brought back from the future at the end of Voyager was probly allready avalible to Captain Janeway in the new time stream.
Saber Prime wrote:Time Travel is verry confusing...
None the less it's still part of continuity as Spock is going to the past and mucking about with time. It will change everything that's happened in just every series after TOS and maybe ever durring, but I don't see how it'll effct any past events. (Enterprise)
When your dealing with time travel you can only screw up future events, you can't change the history of the 1960's by traveling to the 1970's.

Tekka wrote:It might be a version of Spock from an alternate future going back in time to set things right rather than altering history to change Star Trek canon forever. It doesn't have to invalidate all the other series. Doesn't change the fact that time travel sucks though.
Tekka wrote:Oh and in that Borg episode of Enterprise, didn't all the Borg get killed without being identified or contacting the Borg of the past? Therefore preserving the timeline. I was certain that was the case.
