We all know that getting a SS86 Megatron is very slim to pretty much none. So does that also disqualify SS86 Optimus? I mean, it would be pretty much the rerelease of ER leader Prime in a SS86 box, but still.
And I'm still waiting for Siege Springer to get another release in SS86, minus the "battle damage." I wonder what the chances of that are.
What about SS86 Devastator? The last G1 Devy we got was CW, and that was 7 years ago. By the time he's announced and then released, it would be 2025 most likely. 10 years is long enough. Plus this version should be 6 deluxes instead of voyager.

Probably slim to none now since they just released a Siege Springer without the battle damage, but in toy colors as part of the Wreckers collection.Rodimus Prime wrote:And I'm still waiting for Siege Springer to get another release in SS86, minus the "battle damage." CW Devastator did get rereleased last year, so...Rodimus Prime wrote:What about SS86 Devastator? The last G1 Devy we got was CW, and that was 7 years ago. In the big SDCC interview that was posted on TFW that I relayed Legacy stuff from, it was said Evan explicitly confirmed that any potential SS86 Megatron would still have to be a tank, and also said that the TF figure he most wants to do above all would be an SS86 Optimus but didn't actually say what that would entail in his eyes (or if he did, it wasn't included in the write-up).Rodimus Prime wrote:We all know that getting a SS86 Megatron is very slim to pretty much none. Yeah, you might wanna make a big compilation of all that stuff like you did for Legacy, since most of us here are all in the dark about what all else you've researched.Nemesis Primal wrote:In the big SDCC interview that was posted on TFW that I relayed Legacy stuff from, it was said Evan explicitly confirmed that any potential SS86 Megatron would still have to be a tank, and also said that the TF figure he most wants to do above all would be an SS86 Optimus but didn't actually say what that would entail in his eyes (or if he did, it wasn't included in the write-up).Rodimus Prime wrote:We all know that getting a SS86 Megatron is very slim to pretty much none. They also mentioned that if they were to make G1 versions of newer Dinobot characters like Scorn, they would actually want to try to work them into SS somehow (I assume since that's were the others are happening), and they mentioned a bit more about SS as a whole, but that's probably better for the general SS thread.

Oh I'm gonna post it, it just won't be a "big compilation" because 95% of what was discussed at SDCC was about Legacy.Sabrblade wrote:Yeah, you might wanna make a big compilation of all that stuff like you did for Legacy, since most of us here are all in the dark about what all else you've researched.

He's probably referring to the death of Optimus Prime, which was more gray than black.Emerje wrote:RodimusPrimeUkraine1 wrote:Ss86 optimus would be a black repaint, which already exists. And there is a ko downscale cw devastator.
Why would it be black? And we actually don't have a black repaint of the Earthrise mold, we have two black repaints of the Siege mold and one of the Legacy mold.

Though, the Alternate Universe Optimus Prime toy pretty much fills that void.

Yes, that's what they mean. SS86 Optimus Prime is that Amazon exclusive death bed figure. It is a direct call back to the key scene in that film and even comes with alternate parts.
Emerje wrote:Even though it's a WFC figure? Either way, there's no reason for it to be done again, at least not with that mold. If they want to make a new SS86 Optimus then that's fine with me, I'd like one in brighter colors and fewer vestigial parts.
I'd also like to see a Hate Plague Prime done at last, it's a pretty important moment from the cartoon since it meant his return. Basically do what they normally do for Golden Lagoon repaints, but in silver.

Well there's suspicion that that Cyclonus was supposed to be in SS86 to go with Scourge, but got moved for some reason. Maybe because SS86 didn't have enough voyager slots, but I would have thought that Cyclonus was a higher profile character than some of the voyagers we got around the same time in SS86.RodimusPrimeUkraine1 wrote:william-james88 wrote:Emerje wrote:Even though it's a WFC figure?

Well, I though of saying what if kingdom cyclonus got a reissue in ss86, and that would be dumb. But I never got him, so after a second of though: reuses of figures from other lines that would work as studio series 86 figures is fine, it will give people who dont already have one a chance to get it.

Quite the opposite. Before Kingdom was finalized, the third chapter of the War for Cybertron Trilogy was going to be TFTM-themed in honor of the film's 35th anniversary. But Hasbro got so much flack for ignoring the 20th anniversary of Beast Wars, that they decided to celebrate both at the same time in 2021, and so the third chapter became Kingdom, got filled with Beast Wars toys in addition to more G1 dudes, and the rest got shoved into Studio Series under the new sublabel of Studio Series 86. Then Hasbro simply decided to keep Studio Series 86 going beyond its initial launch.Rodimus Prime wrote:Well there's suspicion that that Cyclonus was supposed to be in SS86 to go with Scourge, but got moved for some reason.
