Hit that one right on the head. Voight is just great, and Rachael Taylor is so much more attractive than Megan Fox. And I'm not even into blondes.
Other than robot nookie, one thing Bay could absolutely do wrong: Unicron. If it ever gets to that point, I have a feeling it will go down the same path as FF2 did with Galactus. Bay makes the movies for the general audience, not for Transfans. And for the general audience, a planet-eating Transformer, especially with the G1 comic mythology backstory, which would also involve Primus, is just too much, I think. So hopefully, Unicron will NOT be in TF3, unless it can be done properly. Other than Prime and Megatron, Unicron is the one constant in TF continuity, I'd hate to see his concept (along with his image, because no way he'll be yellow and purple like he's supposed to be) tarnished.
Joshua Vallse wrote: I luv Unicron, I like the character and the concept and everything....but after seeing Devastator.....I'd rather he stay away from the characters I like till this third film comes out and either proves or disproves he's the worst when it comes to character re-invention.
I mean, I would hate a scene where Unicron is taken out by a fleet of Destroyers all carrying that Rail Gun gag. Or rather a Space Shuttle with a Rail Gun....

The man is wise.
Of course wisdom often comes from experience.

I am hoping there is no robot romance, although I don't see this happening either, I could barely cope with the Sam/Mikeala romance it just wasn't quite believable for me, thrown in to distract from the true story, the Transformers, in my opinion.
If Starscream wasn't in or was killed off too that would make me sad, he is a great character need to see him developed more.

Agreed on both. One of the major annoyances of ROTF for me was how everytime Mikaela showed up, all she wanted was to get Sam to say he loved her. (I'm sure some of you gentlemen were noticing other things than the words coming out of her mouth). It got pretty old. I kind of liked her parading around in skimpy outfits like she did in the first one. And no, I can't believe I just said that either. But skimpy and hot is better than whiney and clingy and even I will admit it.
Starscream I dearly hope doesn't die. I thought for sure he was going to be killed off in ROTF. I still fear they'll do it for the next one. At the very least, to ramp up the action, SOMEONE big has to die, like *permanently*. The only thing that give me hope is that, honestly, he hasn't had a lot of character development. He had 2 lines and an eyeblink in the first movie, and a lot of snivelling in this one. It's in line with G1ers, I suppose, but if you don't already *know* the character, that's not a lot to build any real attachment to.
Another thing that would ruin the movie for me would be young kids as major players. Like preteens. Whatever Bay says, his movies aren't really for little kiddies. And a child/giant robot relationship would be just as nauseating as a romance. Unfortunately, I could totally see a six year old on Optimus's shoulders in a Bay flick.
I really just don't want the Decepticons to be wusses again.
HK, villains should be scary.

Well, actually he did do that, sorta...hellkitty wrote:I can't decide which would be worse, actually, "male" bot with human female (icky icky icky shades of Kiss Players), or "female" bots with male humans.
Carriemus Prime wrote:Yeah you have a point. Jurassic park worked well. When kids hold their own and aren't whiney and/or annoying it can work. A scene with Ironhide babysitting would be ironic and quite amusing.![]()
I do like irony...
Ok I am slightly more open to kids being in the film it probably wouldn't ruin it for me, especially if Speilberg had a more active role then definitely, he puts kids in his movies quite expertly, some of them can be better than the adult actors.
