CB, you and I are halfway to correct predictions for the playoffs at this point

This weekend would be absolutely perfect with wins by the jets and Da Bears tomorrow.

J! E! T! S! JETS! JETS! JETS!

(heh heh)

Like Seattle has a chance at all against Da Bears. Bears Packers in the NFC title game. I live on the border between Packerland and Bearsland...it's gonna be a border war...
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Jets, definitely.

So far, I've been right about Seattle-New Orleans, Ravens-Chiefs and Jets-Colts. Wrong about squealers-Ravens, Falcons-Packers and Packers-Eagles. So I'm half-right as well.

Da Bears!!!

Sweet! I'm four for four this weekend! Picked every game right!

....wish I would have put money down...

NFC title game: Packers AT Bears
AFC title game: Jets AT Steelers.

WHat do you think all?

J!E!T!S! Jets Jets Jets!

Is Brady officially a choke artist now?

Anyway, Da Bears will beat the Packers in a close game, and the Jets will take care of the squealers like they took the Patsies tonight.

YES!!!

Now all the Patsy bandwagoners can shut the hell up.

And maybe Belicheat should go back to taping the Jets practices...they might learn something.

And, of course, Da Bears were unstoppable at Soldier Field in winter. All is well.

But he tried in week 2 against the Jets. :P Yet another thing the Jets did better...

Steelers vs Packers in the SB

I think it'll be the exact opposite. Jets vs. Da Bears. Jets winning, of course. However, if by some miracle the squealers get by the Jets, I'm rooting for the NFC, no matter which team.

Three rings huh? Are they in their ears before or after their head coach got caught cheating...twice...?

The key words being "got caught" because who knows how long they had been doing it. All 3 of those rings are tarnished. Like Jimmie Johnson's 5 titles. Knaus is a huge cheat. NASCAR needs to redo its penalty system.

Anyway, there's a guy at work who's a die-hard Patriots fan and he's been talking **** to me these last 2 weeks, first about how bad the Jets are and after they beat the Colts about how the Patriots won't let that happen, and "they'll win 35-17." His words. I took it all week, didn't really say anything just brought up the fact that they were cheats, but apparently that's nonexistent in Patriots' fans' minds. So when I went into work last night after the game, I wore my Jets cap and my Joe Namath jersey and ripped on him every chance I got. And he could do nothing but timidly smile and talk about next year. He's a temporary squealers fan now. I won a case of beer on the game.

Heh, sorry, I know this is the football thread. But you understand what I'm saying, right? If any driver gets caught with an illegally modified car, regardless of what the modification is, they should be bumped to 43rd position and their crew/car chief should get the appropriate penalties. Even if the driver won, they should take the win from him and give it to the runner-up.

Anyway...have there been any NFL coaches who got fired for performance even after they went to the playoffs? This year we know that Bill Belicheat, Rex Ryan, Jim Caldwell, John Harbaugh, Mike Tomlin, and Todd Haley in the AFC are safe. Even Haley, right? As well as Pete Carroll, Mike Smith, Sean Payton, Andy Reid, Lovie Smith and Mike McCarthy in the NFC. I thought Chicago had enough of Lovie already.

And the 2 reasons I wanted to see the Seahawks go to the Super Bowl was to see them either get revenge on the squealers or have Pete Carroll face Mark Sanchez. Now, hopefully it'll be Jets vs. Bears.

As a Bears fan, we HAVE had enough of Lovie. His clock management is often questionable and his addiction to the Cover 2 defense is sad...especially since pretty much everyone knows how to exploit it now. However, I don't know if I've ever seen a coach get more out of his talent. THe Bears talent-wise are really pathetic but Lovie has now gotten them into the NFC title game twice. The problem is actually the next level up: Jerry Angelo. Jerry is one of the worst GM's EVER in regards to drafting talent. Of his draft picks, a remarkable 66% AREN'T EVEN IN FOOTBALL ANYMORE. His first round picks- with the exception of Peanut Tillman- have been flops. Rashan Salaam...Cade McNown...Rex Grossman...Cedric Benson..et al. THe only round he seems to excel at is the second round (Matt Forte is a great example). Jerry makes up for it by signing overpriced free agent vets (Brandon Manumaleuna and Chester Taylor, Adewale Ogunleye, among others) though he hit the jackpot with Julius Peppers- a player that even Brian Urlacher is literally in awe of. If the Bears could get a GM that was worth their salt and could choose talent rather than literally flopping every single year, with Lovie as coach they could truly be a remarkable team.
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

*shudders at the images*

Anyway, this week should be 2 nail biter games, as all title games should be. Can the Jets D run down the beat-up squealers O-line? Can Sanchez stand up to that fearsome pass rush? And will LT and Shonn Greene be effective? I think just because the Jets beat the squealers in the regular season, that doesn't mean anything. I hate to say it, but the squealers will be a real threat. Especially Polamalu. I can't stand that monkey, but he's got talent in spades.

As for the NFC, it's pretty much Aaron Rodgers vs. the Bears D. Regardless of the previous games from the Pack, this will most likely be a low scoring game. Probably won't even crack 25 points on either side. Same with the AFC, actually.

Predictions:

Jets 19 squealers 14
Bears 24 Packers 20
