Cobo I'm definitely planning on watching Luke Cage and probably Jessica Jones too. I hear that's even darker than Daredevil.

I saw Rogue One Saturday night and it was pretty great. I'm not quite sure about the first third of the movie since it didn't quite pull me in yet but the middle was great and the last 40 or so minutes were AMAZING. Best action in any Star Wars movie by far. I can't stop thinking about Vader's scenes.

I think it's the best "new" Star Wars movie to date. By new I mean, not the OG trilogy. I'm old now, and those movies are pretty much my childhood in a nut shell, and can't be touched, flaws and all.

But YA!

I want to see at least one more time (granted I'll see it way more than that when it comes out on BlueRay) before I make any decisions on where the movie stands but it could definitely beat out Force Awakens.

So here's the Christmas haul so far. Falcon was the present I got to unwrap early and the other things were from my grandparents.

And here's everything else.

Luke and Boba are pure hand candy. Now the two TFs I got are good for the most part. Obvious Galvatron problems are obvious. Astrotrain isn't really clicking with me, I'm not sure why. I can say the shuttle is really cool. Also already redeemed the iTunes gift card and bought MTMTE Volume 6.

Welcome all, to SureShot's Top Ten Transformers of 2016! Now to qualify for this list a figure had to be bought this year. So unfortunately that rules out CW Devastator because I ordered it around Dec. 31 and didn't get it till this year. So this year I got a lot of TFs and joined Seibertron so I've had a good year in the Transformers world.
First off, some honorable mentions.
T30 Trailcutter

I've been hoping to get this guy for a while and I found him at the Con I went to so I snatched him up. There's no particular reason why I like him I just do.

CW Bruticus

Truly a great combiner. Probably the best CW combiner that Hasbro put out but the Brawl mold and the sameness to Defensor brought it down. Plus I didn't want two combiners on the list.

#10 Legends EX Black Convoy

I wanted a black prime earlier last year and it was either this one or the original well I chose this one. He looks quite cool and the deco is gorgeously evil. The only problems are the size, somewhat limited articulation, and the sorta finicky leg transformation.

#9 TR Hardhead

This guy was my first TR experience and he doesn't disappoint. Overall a very solid figure with everything you want out of a deluxe these days. He also showed me how fun this line could be but he is not the one figure I'd say to pick up, that guy comes later.

#8 All of the RID/TAV toys I bought this year(yes even gold armor Grimlock)

I started off with Grimlock, no exploding elbows, and then got the Drift and Jazz 2pack. I started hearing about the awesomeness that is Fracture so I snatched him up at HLJ with Megatronus and Strongarm. Then Screamer, Paralon, and Bisk followed. I knew I needed to have one on here but they're all so unique and I'd have more than one in a spot anyway so why not include them all? Yeah I know kind of cheating. If it helps they're all at 8.

#7 Henkei Megatron

I wanted a voyager Megatron for Generations so I got this guy. A nice and sturdy robot mode with plenty of clickity rachet joints. The Transformation is unique and the figure just exudes Megatron. The cannon and wings bring it down a little.

#6 CW Rook

It's Rook and we all know why Rook is great. HULK HANDS

#5 TR Blurr

Remember what I said about Hardhead? Well this guy does all of it and a little less and a little more. Let's not ignore the elephant in the room, the deco. At least it's a nice blue. Blurr succeeds in the sturdiness, articulation, and transformation section more than Hardhead. Best TR figure I own, however Triggerhappy is set to be better from what I've seen and heard.

#4 TR Rewind

Now Blurr might be the best but I'm really liking Rewind. It might be that I just read when he showed back up in MTMTE and that I like the character but he isn't bad by any means.

#3 Gen Springer

This is a beautiful and wonderfully articulated figure. It's also the best triple changer (although now that I think about it TR Megatron looks awesome in all modes too). My favorite of the altmodes is definitely the car since I think the helicopter gets a little iffy. Still an amazing figure.

#2 Classics Optimus Prime (AOE 2pack)

If I've ever held a perfect Transformers figure it's this one. Again it takes everything the Classics mold for Megatron did and makes it way better. Spot on G1 Prime with enough stylization to keep it from looking boring. The only very minor quibbles I have are the forearm kibble and the lack of wrist swivels.

#1 UW Computron

Best Scramble City combiner to come out of CW/UW as far as I'm concerned. All the molds range from good to great and the decos are super nice. Beats out Hasbro's version in every single way for the most part.

And there we have it. It's late but I still wanted to put it out there. Also don't worry I won't be neglecting this thread for weeks again, I should have a package arriving soon. Speculate away if you wish and here's a hint, they're 2 3rd party figures.

Thanks guys. It was a really nice year. I'm thinking about doing a top 16 of all action figures but seeing how this took me awhile it probably won't happen.

On Tuesday these guys came in and boy they are fun.




These are my first 3rd party figures and they are amazing. I'd like to say I won't need to get another Classics styles Megatron and Prime but I said that about Classics Prime and he might go to eBay with Henkei Megs.

*ahem* Anyway, congrats on Prime and Megs! Definitely an amazing pair of figures. Seems like everyone is getting them now. Leakin' Lubricant, me, now you...

Sigma, this is like the third or fourth time you've fell through a ceiling. You should really start looking for windows to crawl through.

Thanks! You and Lube definitely did some enabling, as did the many people that were calling them phenomenal figures. Oh I've probably got some more poses on the way. Those were merely a taste.

Ok, I need to ask - why do I have no inclination towards either of those figures? They look nice, sure, and I like the redesign, and I enjoy looking at photos of them. But there is nothing that says 'ooh, I could get one of them' anywhere, any time.

Hmm, well you're not much of a toy guy to begin with so there's that. I doubt it's the fact that they're 3rd party. Maybe the price? My best guess is you're not liking that they're basically just another Prime and Megatron. It's hard to answer this question from my point of view since I did buy them but I do know what you mean. I have the same reaction with Masterpiece(besides Beast Wars, I'd like to get as many as I can of those), like I know these are good figures and that I'd probably really enjoy them but I don't want to get them. Now, I'm pretty sure price plays a bigger part in my situation. Maybe Sigma or someone else can pop in and hopefully give a better answer.

Let me rephrase then - what made you buy them, if you can remember when you saw them without having them in hand?

Well first of all I did really dig the aesthetic Maketoys was going for. And I was impressed by the amount of articulation that the robot modes had. The reviews and in hand thoughts were so positive. Originally it was because Henkei Megatron didn't quite scratch the itch for a badass voyager Megatron, the TR version looked pretty great but I planned (and still do) to put him with my Lost Lighters. Now I couldn't just get Megatron so I got Prime too which I also thought looked great. The timing was convenient, personally. I guess it came from a need to fill a gap, although I dislike that phrase.

On Saturday I bought a Gundam model and I built it. The results, a really cool and very poseable robot action figure.








I should probably try and get more Transformers in my Transformers collection thread. Maybe like what I did a couple pages back with Onslaught.

You guys are going to force me to get a gundam one of these days. They look too cool

There's only one other one I'm looking at right now, I'm trying to keep it to the models that stick out as really nice looking. Bandai also makes Star Wars action figure models that I'm thinking about getting.

So I read The Dying of the Light today. I felt so many emotions. I still think I need to read it again before any intelligent thoughts can be typed.

Ok follow up time. I really liked it. Like a lot. Oh right SPOILERS.


I teared up at the Chromedome/Dominus/Rewind part, the Cyclonus/Whirl talk, and Skids. I loved every part with Megatron, I was happy when Drift and Rachet showed back up, I was shocked when Overlord came back, and I think the end of the DJD was pretty fitting. And of course Milne's art is still the best. I thought this was only appropriate.



I got these guys in on Saturday.

And now I can do this.

Rioter and Manus have taken their rightful places on my shelves, so I better do something with their predecessors.


And my Star Wars 6 inch collection has grown at a rather alarming rate over the last few months.

Also I haven't seen you around these parts lately but I've got a Marvel Legends goodie for you, Bumblebee21. I really like this Deadpool and he's super photogenic.

the whole first wave of the xmen legends was good. its sad we are only getting one a year now.

I kind of want to have him and Cable jumping from shelf to shelf. The waves are quite nice but a lot of the figures are all comic characters which I don't know much about. Old Man Logan from the new wave might be my only get.
