Nice, this is looking a lot more promising than the initial CG pics. Great articulation and sculpt from what I can see.

They'd have to remake Grimlock, as he's not in-scale with MP-10-on. He'd be a head or two taller than MP-10, at least.

The rest of the MP Dinobots though? Sexy.

If I had a little better image to work with I could have pulled out all the details and sharpened it a bit. this image was a little to pixalated for my skill level so I couldnt get it 100%. Anyway. this one is sideswipe. He looks to transform almost identical to the G1 brother. except of course he is articulated and not a block bot. Hope you guys enjoy the pic below.

Are you saying the current MP Grimlock is a head or two taller than MP-10? If so then I'd say that's the perfect scale.

I'm blown away by how quickly Takara are rolling out these MasterPiece figures. Looks like they're serious about making it a main line.

No, he's not. He is saying that Grimlock is too short. Grimlock is slightly shorter than MP-10.

No he doesn't. The obvious differences are that the back of his car mode invert/fold outward, rather than his thighs just being pulled out from it. Also, his doors are nowhere to be seen in bot mode. On the G1 toy, they're hanging off his arms.

There are lots of differences. You just gotta look closely.

I'm saying that the remake of MP Grimlock would be a head or two taller. The existing one is unfortunately about the same size.

Looks fantastic. Based on the early images - the chest may be a little large compared to the comics/tv but it's close enough for me.

You are probably right if the rumor is true that the cassettes are being released in separate packs.

That would be awesome. I whole heartedly support. Many of the other suggestions are great too. Shockwave would be my personal favorite.

I don't see how it could be any MORE different and still be G1-accurate without doing crazy stuff like using a faux car hood for his chest and such.

I mean by your definition, MP-10 has the same transformation as his G1 counterpart too. >:oP

God, you really can't let things go can you. I see it so often on this message board. FurStreak said it had almost the same transformation, which it kinda does. Just like MP Grimlock. They are very similar but not exactly the same which is what FurStreak was saying. The only real difference with Grimlock was his tail integration and his shoulders. Going by the pictures, the bulk of the changes to Sideswipe seem to be in the legs while from the waist up, with the exception of the arms, it is similar to the G1 toy. The doors are on his arms, take a look at the rear pictures of the mold, you can see the doors on the back of his arms. The roof of the car is still the same however the door window seems to fold in under it instead of stuck on the arms. The chest folds down without much transformation, though, I'm guessing the wheels fold in under it but can't be sure.

Almost the same with differences so it is not just an up-scaled G1 toy.

No need to get angry, I didn't mean to seem hostile. =)

This is a message board. I found something to discuss. I mean if everyone could 'let things go', there wouldn't be much of a discussion. Just everyone saying how they like/dislike TFs. =D

Well then it's the same with MP-10. Truck front becomes robot chest, truck back becomes legs, truck sides fold out to form arms. I mean if it's the same *basic* transformation, most MPs have it, not just 'Swipe and Grimmy. It's all the same basic transformations as the G1 toys, but adding extra small transformations to make them more G1 cartoon/comic accurate. But exact transformation? Not really. :<

Again, I don't see how more complex it CAN be, or needs to be.

So now you agree that sideswipe seems to have almost the same transformation? good for you :) If someone said exactly the same they would be wrong but it is almost the same with a nice selection of flips and steps to right the wrongs of the old toy to make it more show accurate.

On another topic, Sideswipe has one thing about him that really annoyed me on MP Rodimus, the size of the chest looks too wide. With Rodimus it is the bumper that sticks out too far, they really should have had that flip in or something. Nobody else seemed to worry about it so I kept my mouth shut till now. Sideswipe looks big boned but I can live with it, like I do with Rodimus. It would have been cool if they were able to compress it a little but never mind.

No, I don't agree. It's not the same transformation at all. It's like saying that Dinobot Minicon Dualor has almost the same transformation as Beast Megatron. If something's that much more involved, even if the *basic* transformation is the same, the entire transformation isn't "almost the same" as the simpler one.

His proportions would be terrible. MP-10 is great but his knees are still too high up and adding to the lower leg would worsen the proportions. Seeing as the animation never showed a white cab 'combining' with the trailer like when RiD OP upgraded they should redesign it so it's more like Titanium UM.
