I was browsing Takara's official site again, and I found that the Encore page had a background displaying Red-Alert and Inferno. It seems logical that this means that the two are next in line for reissues.

Should this be newsified, it should be catagorized as a rumor, since I can't read Japanese and can't say for sure that the two will be reissued, but based on the background image, it seems likely.

Hmmm...I'll take them, but I'd rather get Hound, Sideswipe, Blitzwing, Astrotrain, Blaster, & the insecticons first. I'm assuming we could get those since they were part of Takara's Transformer Collection toy line.

I agree that Sideswipe should have come before Red-Alert.
I also agree that they should reissue Blitzwing, though I much prefer the Diaclone colors.
Inferno is an odd choice for sure. I think they should stick with season 1 characters for now. (Including season 2 toys that appeared in season 1 I.E. the Dinobots, Devastator, Reflector, Skyfire, etc.)

We already know for a fact what #5 and 6 will be. Ratchet and Ironhide.

Tomy's choice of background G1 art is not news. Hell, it doesn't even count as a rumor. Nothing else there even hints at Red Alert or Inferno reissues.

Have to agree with Chosen here, it's simply a background pic from the DW comic run.

I'd love for those guys to be re-issued, but there are plenty more characters that are far more popular that could be done before either Red Alert or Inferno. Them both being part of the later waves of the TRU re-issues series probably hurts their chances of getting another re-issue so quickly as well.

I'd love to have them though, they are two of my favourite G1 characters/toys, plus they'd look good next to my Hasbro TRU re-issues of them.

I do find it interesting that when you click on characters the ones they choose to mention are all Encore reissues with the exception of Bumblebee, Jazz, and Scorponok. Why all reissues except for those three? Could that be a hint? A Scorponok reissue would be AWESOME. A few months ago I would have thought, "Yeah, right", but then they go and announce Sky Lynx as a special reissue. So who knows? I like to dream that a Scorponok reissue could happen. [/url]

I hope this two aren't next. I bought at least two of each of them from TRU. I'd rather see Blitzwing, Cyclonus, or Scourge!
Also, Mirage or the Dinobots would be nice.
And I'm rather surprised they haven't reissued Ultra Magnus yet. The mold was used relatively recently, so presumably it's still good.

I want the Combaticons and Seacons to reissued next!

What ever happened to the Skylynx reissue rumor about his release this Christmas?

The Skylynx reissue is still on, as far as we know. I don't know when it's slated for release.

But surely they would choose a background that features at least one character that we know is part of the Encore line, right? Why just a random pic? Why give 2 characters such a prominent appearance on a page that advertises a line that they aren't even in? There are plenty of pics of Prime, Megatron, Starscream, and Soundwave to choose from. Why Inferno and Red-Alert?
I still think that the choice of a background pic means something. The Beast Wars page doesn't have a random background of a random character that isn't in the line. Why would the Encore page?

This is complete speculation. Your title is misleading, please change it.

Inferno is a figure that doesn't need a reissue. You can still get his Takara book release on eBay for $30! Now Red Alert would be ok, his TRU reissue was nice but I'd prefer the G1 packaging. But of course it would make more sense to do Sideswipe first.

I'll be content with the next two releases, I'd love to have an Ironhide.

Would have preferred the Trailbreaker and Ramjet that we never got from the Hasbro TRU G1 reissue line.

Movie characters. It's showing them in their G1 forms. We had this go around when this was first seen. We all want a Scorponok G1 re-issue, but this unfortunately is not the hint at that. One can dream though.

I agree with Chosen and the others - Takara has selected random background art for the time being. It doesn't mean anything more.

I already have the Hasbro toys r us exclusives G1 reissues of both RedAlert and Inferno from a few years back. Don't need them again. But I'm rather interested on the Ironhide and Ratchet reissues since I don't have them. Also on Skylynx. Heard rumors about him a few weeks ago but haven't heard anything since that.
