Evangelion is no stranger to the Transformers brand with Takara releasing an MP Optimus in Evangelion colours in the past. Well we have info from Dengeki Hobby that Takara will announce new Evangelion Collaboration products for their Transformers and Zoids brands at the Shizuoka Hobby show next week. As the previous Takara/Evangelion collabs, all shown below, these are likely to be redecos of existing products. Also, this year is the 30th anniversary of Evangelion.

That second one isn't Transformers, is it?

I remember being pretty disappointed in the first set of TF / Eva crossovers. That Prime and a Q TF. I mean, come on. I wish they has made a slight remold of Prime Starscream; that'd have been great! All it needed was a different head and the right colors.

I'm WAY more into TF crossovers than I was in the past, so I hope this one's gonna be good. The Robotech one looks great, but the Godzilla one is the worst. So I guess anything goes.

Being a 30th anniversary year, it would be nice to have a new mold rather than churning out redecos.

Nobody here's talking about it, but the first promo images of this dropped. Even though it seems like a redeco with only a few remolded parts, I like it more than try #1. The Bay design fits more with the Eva look than G1. Although I would have appreciated an all-new mould more. I wonder if this mean it'll be cheaper.

Looks like a fairly extensive retool of Evasion mode Prime or even as mentioned in the Tfw2005 post, Takara's Legendary upscaled version.

I have no real investment in Evangelion, but the mold on its own in purple may be worth it.

The new Evangellion crossover has been revealed in Takaras T-Spark video event.

It is in fact using their Bumblebee Movie Legendary Prime mold. a.k.a upscaled Evasion Mode Prime.
