Maybe they could make the gun barrel convert into some kind of weapon accessory for Shockwave to wield in robot mode, like a giant-sized bazooka or something (even if he didn't have such an item in the cartoon).

I can't imagine they'd do a MP figure and have a part like that set aside. Reeks of laziness.

But I agree, it will become part of the backpack in some fashion. It could even make up the backpack entirely.

If there are lights and sounds, they may just go with the small button batteries rather than large AA batteries to save on space.

Or just ditch it all together, are lights and sounds really important in a Masterpiece figure?

They were never there. Anyways, this guy is reported early 2016, I think we are looking at the final prorotypes and the next part is merely colouring. I dont think much will be changed from what Taktom has planned right now when they showed these.

Personally i need lights and sound in a Shockwave figure. To me it would be the epitome of laziness for these features to not exist. I may be the only person in the TF community who wants these features in this release but in my opinion it would only be proper.

If it is such a problem for people to have light and sound than just pull the batteries out and problem solved.

I really would have liked Wheeljack to have had light up ears. Bit of a shame about that really.

It was joint that the backpack is on to become the end of the gun on the original.



Looking at it, I can't think of any reason the barrel end wouldn't just fit inside the backpack. It seems much bigger than it needs to be, and I think that's a clip there on the top of the pack.
Looking forward to this no matter what, though.

That's the location of the hinge for the backpack on the original toy. It's even featured in the gif of the commercial bumper.

Yeah if anyone should have a backpack, Shockwave should. If you need a reason, you can just pretend that he stores equipment or ammo in there. Shockwave is a walking laser gun for crying out loud. Still love it.
