I actually really want that CB Shockwave. Haven't been able to find it on Amazon for a good price.

Yeah, I dont think its the G1 factor either. The movie design for Shockwave was excellent.

Good enough for me, just wondering - nostalgia has been known to do funny things, but I'm not sure anyone will ever be nostalgic for the movie cyclops' though

Had 'em, got rid of 'em - may've kept the jet one though, they weren't memorable (literally, they didn't exist anywhere form em to remember them) and I was trimming down my collection and they were the first to go, so by the time I'm 50, no, I will probably never remember they were a thing

I Actually really love this figure. The only thing that makes me hesitate is wondering if Hasbro will release him at a cheaper price.

Don't expect a Hasbro release, as even the unrealistic gun-moded Classics Voyager Megatron mold from 2006 can no longer be sold at American retail.

I was kind of thinking along those lines too, then I thought about MP figures we still don't have here that should theoretically be released first, like Bee and Wheeljack and Sideswipe and Magnus..so I'm just pulling the trigger

Magnus should be coming at some point, maybe, but the other three we will never see due.to licensing issues. Hasbro would have much better luck if they quit making the MPs TRU exclusives.

Hasbro said at a Bot Con that they have the license to do MP Sideswipe due to AOE Lockdown. The figure was supposed to be coming but who knows what happened. I gave up on US MP releases once the cars became a regular thing since there's a long delay between releases. We might see MP Shockwave in the US but it might/probably be years down the line.

I made the switch over to getting the Takara Masterpiece releases earlier this year, and I'm not looking back. It will take Hasbro ages to catch up, and even then, they will always be behind Takara for several years worth of releases. Even if I pay a bit more because of mark-ups from US-based "middle men" like BBTS and TFSource, at least I know I'm getting the releases years earlier than I would waiting for Hasbro, that the decos will always be spot on to what the designers originally intended, and that I won't miss out on legally ambiguous cases like the VW-licensed Bumblebee.

Oh I agree. I think there would be more of a demand, and a better profit margin in releasing the cone heads first.

I was thinking and I wouldn't be surprised if we see a new Megatron and a new Grimlock (or an up-scaled MP-8) next year for the TFTM 30th Anniversary.

As prominent characters in the movie and the only pre-MP-10 figures left to re-do.

MP-5 → X

MP-6 → MP-11SW

A new take on megatron would be interesting to see, I mean how would they approach him in light of all the faults of mp 5. Of course though I would be more interested in a galvatron masterpiece.

Eagerly anticipating this figure. I wish I could find an intact G1 Shockwave for a decent price. Looks like their gun modes are the same size, if I had both then I could duel wield Shockwaves.

One thing I've noticed is his knees only seem to bend like 30 degrees. Disappointing, though not enough to detract from what is an otherwise superb looking figure.

Funny thing is: knee bends don't overly bother me. I rarely if ever actually pose transformers with knees bent and some cool pose for space issues. as long as it is there, that's still good for me
