i think hes an MP filler figure, why did he come out, instead of a jazz or retooled megatron.....or some new freaking dinobots!...........
i dont get this guys popularity at all. the color scheme is disgusting! and he looks cheap.

an easy pass for me...........id rather spend my money on some badass 3rd party figures! which i will since i cancelled my pre-order for this dissapointment of a figure.........the test shots i liked i wont lie. expect the forearms sucked! and still do, they look worse now in that paint job

Contrary to popular belief, the World of Transformers doesn't revolve around your sphere of influence. Japanese fandom have as much as a voice (and vote with their wallets) hence the Supreme Commander poll which brought about his creation.

But considering that nowadays, Takara is pumping out them Masterpieces, they may not be too far behind.

Because he won the 30th Anniversary Fans Choice poll that had 20 leaders to choose from. And of those 20, Japan chose Star Saber.

yea i know that, and thats lame...........

if that poll was done other then baised japan, im sure we woulda got something WAY cooler then star saber.........

im not wasting money on him when 3rd party companies are killing hasbro and takara.......

Do you know how ridiculously priced those figures can be and how much it takes for these 3rd party companies to keep producing them?

i dunno man, now that the have scaled down mp since mp10 i will never get the 10-12 inch figure i wanted.........they may not be far behind but alas we wont be getting the size i would have liked to get......they havent even bothered with doing anymore dinobots, u start with grimlock then NOTHING! so i wont be holding my breathe or a jazz or re-tooled megatron.......but it would be nice

I collect i am aware of the prices, and they arent as ridiculous as u make it seem dude! i got hegemon for 100, how much is an mp05? mp05 was a frickin joke!!!!!!

hasbro aoe line WAS the biggest joke ive ever seen, well they have been a joke since the 07 movie garbage came along. Takara scaled down their figures to literally deluxe size and charge 80-100

they wont kill the industry the 3rd parties, but hasbro not longer gets my money, so yea they are killing it themselves

Whoah, hold on. Biased Japan? I'm not gonna hold it against ya for not liking the figure, that's on you, but Takara IS Japan. hasbro has offices in every other continent, but Japan is Takara's territory, and this is being produced primarily, if not exclusively, for their market. Their Japanese market. Rag on Hasbro for figures like Windblade, who was also a poll character, but Star Saber is not our ,arket. Heck, if it weren't for the internet, we wouldn't even know he existed, let alone have the opportunity to import him.

Personally, I'm more excited for Saber than I was Mp10 and I have no idea who he is. (But TFWiki is a wonderful thing) This is the only masterpiece I plan on getting from the recent runs. (Although if I bad seen any of the Prime, Roddy, or Grimlock Tru releases, i woulda nabbed them). This isn't lame to me, this is a cool, realistically styled although not a true jet mode, and a funky but functional armor, which looks cumbersome in alt mode but holds up for accuracy. A shield basestand? That's to me an incredible bit of thought the engineers coulda ignored and didn't. But that's me

America is just as biased as Japan is about Transformers characters. Only thing is is that our biases are different, NOT "better", than theirs.

Had the same poll with the same choices been conducted over here, the winner would have likely been yet another variation of Optimus Prime for the billionth time. How creative.

Thanks to Hobbybase on Facebook, we get another look at the upcoming MP-24 Masterpiece Star Saber. The magazine scans show off many of the features contained within the Masterpiece figure of the Supreme Commander as well as the many accessories the figure comes with. The Magazine scans also show off MP-23 Exhaust.

I'm not entirely on board with the Star Saber hype but there is absolutely no denying that this is a spectacular MP release and to be honest, is worth buying even if i'm not all that familiar with the canon around him.
It's an impressive figure no doubt and arguably the best MP to date in terms of playability and gimmicks.
