New Takara Tomy Legendary Weapons Campaign
- Motto: "I've looked into the eye of this island and what I saw was...beautiful"
- Weapon: Double-Barreled, Armor-Piercing Particle Beam Cann...
It is time for another Takara Tomy campaign promotion. The twist this time is instead of Microns, the campaign items are Legendary Weapons (or trophies if you will) that Lockdown has collected aboard his ship. The campaign runs similar to past Takara Tomy campaigns. You buy 3,000 or more yen of Transformers in a certain store you get one of these weapons while supplies last. Here is the full rundown.
Optimus Prime Axe- redeco of Beast Hunters Dreadwing axe available at Toys 'R' Us Japan

Tricera Mace- redeco of Beast Hunters Deluxe Windrazor axe availability to be determined

Spino Hammer- redeco of Beast Hunters Deluxe Twinstrike available at EDION, Best Denki toy counter, Yamada Denki toy counter, and Yodobashi Camera and others.

Ptera Spear- redeco of Transformers Prime Knock out spear available at Bic Camera, Joshin Kids Land and Kojima Co., Ltd. toy counter

Are they supposed to be the Dinobot's weapons? That's the feeling I'm getting from the names anyhow.

Well, I guess since deluxe Twinstrike and Windrazor never made it to shelves before the AOE tide, they have to get SOME use out of their molds.

Don't you guys remember the scene from AOE where Cade and Shane find that arsenal of weapons in Lockdown's ship? When you attach all of these weapons to Battle Command Optimus Prime's base, that's what these weapons are paying homage to.

Video Review - Takara Tomy Lost Age One-Step LA12 Stinger
- Motto: "Till All Are Pun!"
Not too long ago we reported a sighting of the Hasbro One-Step Stinger at US retail, but Seibertron.com user chuckdawg1999 got his hands on the Takara Tomy Lost Age version, and share his video review of it - check it out below!
While many collectors turn their nose up at the various simplified figures released for Age Of Extinction, Takara/Tomy have really put in a lot of effort making these same figures interesting for everyone. With premium paint jobs and comically strange commercials to match the Lost Age line really stands out. Stinger makes for a fun desk toy while making one hope for a Deluxe version of the character

I have avoided all One-Step figures until now...I picked Stinger up because he's the only vehicle-accurate representation of the character released so far. I'm hoping for a Deluxe with the Pagani Huayra altmode!

I would say give them a chance. I picked up optimus, hound, crosshairs, drift and stinger and I gotta say they are quite the little things. Hound has sculpted dogtags for christ sake.
plus drift is awesome to transform.

I picked up Grimlock 1 step changer after thinking about it long time and will be the only toy I will buy from this movie apparently. Basically it has no articulations, dull plastic, poor paint app, not accurate movie colors and $9.99 before tax, very disappointing. Pass on this too.

Y U NO BUY THE VOYAGER? Or the Leader? Those two are great toys, with tons of details and the articulation and complexity you'll expect from a normal TF.

because those were the only options we have had at my local store, and the only store, in key west

Aside that the couple voyagers we got around time ago were even worst talking about inaccurate colors, poor apps and way overpriced, even hasbro online is dreaming on $99.99 for a set of 2 leader class (http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/transforme ... ck-figures) that are not only poor enginiering but really bad modes. I might wait for further revised releases from takara, for now hasbro has just disappointed me, nothing compared with previous movies, were you got real stuff for less that $9.99 or amazing detailed toys. In few words, I pass from movie toys this year.
