Is this from Lena? I guess it means I will be getting my Whirl and Gelshark soon. I am looking at the pics of Roadbuster and for the life of me I cannot see much paint app differences from the Hasbro one. And the Hasbro one had stickers with it, so I was hoping that Takara would have some of them tampographed instead. Let me know if there are some paint apps I am not seeing.

Well, they've had other Jetfire toys named "Jetfire". The G2 Cyberjet, for instance.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:I'm more surprised that TakaraTomy kept "Jetfire" for the Leader, even though he should be called "Skyfire" in accordance with the Henkei toy.

Is it attached to his chest instead?william-james88 wrote:Hey guys (and girls), I got a question. I was playing around with Hasbro's Roadbuster and comparing him to the Takara Legends version and I caught something odd in this picture:
How is that small missile launcher being kept in place near his right elbow?

ha! dont worry bout me. ill buy a MISB one if i have to.william-james88 wrote:Oh man, I wish it so much for you that you get a Gelshark.
he did get a bad wrap. and i initially had issues with him, but he's really grown on me.william-james88 wrote:Also, I wanted ot post here because I am looking at reviews of Hasbro's Generation Skybyte and they are resoundingly negative. Granted, the deco on Takara's is insanely better especially for that asymetric chest). But there are problems said that I simply dont see. I will agree that the right arm is odd and lazy and awkward. But, the complaints about him looking down and being unstable don't hold any water. He has amazing balance due to the way the feet are made (also seen negatively). And this allows for a nice curvature of his spine which makes it really easy to place him in a pose where he looks straight.

the right arm is actually my only complaint now. but if you think about it its not that big a deal since he doesnt have anything to hold or reason to point the arm (ala classics megatron). so the fixed wrist aint no thang![]()
incidentally, i really like the other arm because the fin/claw/pincer thing can actually open and close this time around.
as for the instability, i might be able to shed some light (just a theory though). when transforming his legs, theres a part where you snap the shins into the knees, making the legs quite solid. but when i opened mine (he's obviously packaged in bot mode) and his legs are not securely snapped together properly. so assuming the he was TF'd right, i thought "damn those are some awkward unstable legs". but then i TF'd him to shark, then back to bot, and i figured it out.
so... maybe people arent transforming him correctly...? either way, he is rather solid and is a pretty great figure.

I'd still buy the Hasbro version on sight, though, if I ever see him...
