Or maybe the time is being used to call out the ingrained mentality of an unfortunately large portion of this fandom. The fact that
others may do worse, that there are
other, worse episodes on this matter, and that
other people don't take issue with it does not dismiss the fact that whenever Arcee (iconic female character of the franchise, for the first time given its proper lump of plastic treatment), Chromia or Windblade show up, this type of image is what we get.
Megatron Wolf Wolfman Jake mentioned earlier about this being systemic, and we all seem to have figured out that there is definitely something about that pose that says 'feminine'. And that is comproved when a 'masculine' character like Brainstorm is shown in the same pose. Yes, I agree, it is systemic.
That does not mean I accept it. I choose to spend my time challenging the assumptions that inanimate lumps of plastic that are meant to represent characters defined as female are posed in ways that reek of objectification, sexualisation and (male) fanservice.
