I was going to say that too. They are tiny! But, then, these are deluxe sized (hence the need for head augmentation on the voyagers, helmets and neck collars...) Thinking back, I had PM Optimus, but no head masters. But, from pictures, would it be accurate to say that the head masters were closer in size to today's Voyagers?

At any rate, when I get a Titan Master I hope I don't lose my head.... :-s

From the Q Transformers website we have some interesting news pertaining to the Takara Tomy Transformers Legends line, as they see the re-release with some tweaks of the Rhinox, Waspinator and Rattle (Rattrap) figures for the Beast Wars 20th Anniversary. The latter will see an eye colour change, to better match the CGI model, while the other two will feature some general paint modifications. Check them out in the images below!

I think it's more about what takara are doing to celebrate the anniversary of beast wars then anything else.

But not with this superior deco. Thats like saying we dont need G2 Menasor since some stores still carry wave 2 of combiner wars. Its different decos. And in the case of Rhinox, very sought after.

But on a business sense if the mold didn't sell than they wouldn't look at releasing the same character a second time unless it's a platinum edition and then you'll just be on here ranting about 3 recent figures that was originally $60 combined is now $120.

Rhinox stuck around a bit but not abnormally long in my area. I haven't seen a Waspinator in years. So no, not shelfwarmers, not around here.

It would definitely be a platinum edition and it actually turns out that the RID Platinum set as well as the coneheads are well priced. So if they released these in premium decos at a decent price, I am sure it would sell among fans.

The Hasbro versions are still very much available. I still find Rattraps at Walmart stores from time to time, and it was superior to the Takara version.\

That Waspinator is completely different to the last Takara one. The abdomen is yellow instead of gold and I'm sure his green is lighter.

So, it looks like with Rhinox and Waspinator, Takara scaled back significantly on the metallic paint applications. Rhinox still looks great with a more matte brown paint job on his hide. Waspinator too looks more on model, and the greens are still fairly metallic and shiny. It looks like the only real differences for Rattrap are black beast mode eyes and a change in shade for the bronze highlights on his robot mold shoulders? If I'm remembering correctly, the black eyes are correct for his beast form in the cartoon, but they changed to red in robot mode. So, Takara thought we needed a more accurate beast mode, essentially?

Fellow Seibertronian Sabrblade gave us word of new twitter posts from TF Yuki which showcase the three upcoming reissues of Generations/Legends Beast Wars toys coming out for the 20th anniversary of the show and toyline. Below you will find the new photos which have these familiar toys in the most accurate show deco yet. Rattrap has black eyes, Rhinox' brown is matte and Waspinator has these gorgeous black stripes along his yellow antennas. Below the new pictures, you can see the older toys for a quick comparison.

UPDATE: Looking at the numbers LG-EX, these will be show exclusives like last year's Armada Megatron and Black Convoy. They will still be available to purchase at import retailers but at a higher price than normal.
