The second guy in my latest Legends batch. I already have Triggerhappy so Misfire's transformation was a little "familiar." Still, it's somewhat different and they
look different so it's probably more fun than transforming all the original Decepticon jets (of the trio I only ever had Starscream.)
Misfire seem to have less steps than Triggerhappy, but he's got a cleaner robot-mode -- his wings are attached to his back and he doesn't have the guns flipped to the sides of his arms (of course it also means no gun-hands. But it's nice that they are not the same.)
Likeness to the cartoon is great. Head-sculpt is spot on. My only three complaints are: that his arms don't stretch to the sides like Doublecross.
That he doesn't have landing gear. I've always appreciated how HasTak usually included this feature in jet robots (even back in the day with simpler toys like the Aerialbots.) Oddly enough, Triggerhappy has it.
Annnd that he's a Headmaster. But the cockpit is pretty nice!
Some fun with the new toy...
Well, what do we have down there? Som'kind'f combat robot -- is it an Autobot or a human construct?Time to investigate (and have some fun!)Ow!!He packs a mean punch! It's'kay, my gun can pierce that armour piece o' cake...!Blast! I've missed! And again! He's not even trying to evade my bolts, I'm just a lousy shot ---- well, they don't call me Misfire for nothing. But when one weapon fails...I'll simply manifest my energy blades ---- backed by the force of my will -- they can cut through anything! There, at last I got him!-- now, the coup de grâce!Well done, brave warrior, you've passed the test.Who?!?Megatron!?! You still function?!? (and twice the size!)Yes. Now follow me, I'll tell you all about it.The End..?
