Fellow Seibertronian MemphisR56 has reached out to us on staff to share a series of images of the latest offering in the Takara Tomy Transformers Legends line exclusives - LG-EX Greatshot! Using the same mold as both leader class Sixshot (from Titans Return) and Quickswitch (from the box set Chaos on Velocitron), except a beast mode head retool and the chest in robot mode featuring wings, plus the helmet additions for the horns, Greatshot also has a new paint scheme, and the three six changers are all compared and shown off in all modes in the images below. Take a look, and share your thoughts in the Energon Pub!

Miraculous how visually distinct these 3 are despite only minor retoolings between each. Fun fact, greatshot's newly tooled fold-away horns make him the only one who can't achieve all of his modes without removing the headmaster.

I don't like the figure at all (ok I'm not a fan of the mold to begin with and this retool and colour sceheme is everything I dislike about Japanese Generation 1 designs) but I kinda admire the patience and effort that went into taking all the photographs having to transform all three figures into multiple modes.

I like Sixshot and i like Greatshot. I have the Takara versions of both and i can't wait to open Greatshot.

I would do a photo comparison between Takara Fortress Maximus & Grand Maximus, but they are pretty much the exact same figure in different color schemes (especially since we didn't get the bonus accessory). Plus I still need to apply Grand's stickers.

Mine came from Kapow toys, he arrived d way faster than i expected too, so i wouldn't be surprised if he takes a while yet

Thanks for the tip of the hat. It did take like an hour to get all 3 in all 6 modes :lol:

Greatshot and Brave Maximus were offered as pre-orders at both TFSource and BBTS. They'll be fulfilled, but it sometimes takes a while on TakaraTomy Mall exclusive items to finally come in stock overseas. We just have to be patient.

Did anyone get the Metroplex LG EX reissue? I’m particularly interested if anyone got him from TF Source. Their site says it has Japanese clips but the original Takara release was actually in English. I wanted to see if someone who has the reissue could confirm whether the voice is English or Japanese.

Finally got my box from AmiAmi today with a bunch of things including the Jumpstarters. I know I'm a little late to the party and I tried to look back through the thread to see if anyone else if having the same problem I am but I didn't find anything. So I opened Seaspray and he was fine as was Darth Vader and Twin Twist. Then I got to Topspin and while he's fine, his Targetmaster isn't. He has two right lower legs. So when I transform him into gun mode, the left leg (now located behind the robot's right shoulder) doesn't peg in properly. I think one of my other Targetmasters have a similar problem but since I'm in the middle of moving, I have them all packed away already. I figured I mention the problem here to see if anyone else if having the opposite problem and would like to switch legs. I had a Magnus Prime with two right hands and found the person with one with two left hands so maybe I'll have some luck with this too. It's not a big deal this time but it is still annoying when I transform him.

For somebody like me who lives in EU (so oversea shipping costs) : The same if not less.

On bbts it would have cost me 120$ with shipping.
On tfsource, 134$
On ebay it did cost me 115$

There's a lowcost shipping on bbts, which would have cost me 'only' 105$, but it's 4 weeks delivery minimum. (added to the fact it's not even in stock yet)

Yes collecting in EU is expensive as ****.

The 'good' point is, with all this shipping stuff, getting takara version of toys is not necessary more expensive than getting the hasbro's one.

My Topspin's Targetmaster partner was fine, but Topspin himself came with two left feet! I already sent it back to TFSource for a replacement. Now I'm hoping that the new one I get doesn't come with a messed up Targetmaster! If Peacemaker ends up having two left lower legs, though, I guess you'll be in luck.
