If it wasn’t for the baffling shipping costs in robot kingdom I would’ve bought Greatshot on day one.

I used to be able to stomach it on large orders but something's not right about it lately. Seems like it gets based on the cost of the item and not the actual size or weight. That's not how that works!

Not that I'm one of those people that always has to correct everybody but the 2000 preorder mark was to make Grand and there was a goal of 3000 that had to be reached for the pretender shell to be included. It only hit the first goal, so at least it got produced.

Sort of like the last person to say they didn't like to correct people then said they were going to PM me the "correct" information, only to never send the PM, probably because when they went to find the information they noticed I was correct. But I digress...

According to the original announcement, as I recall, the 2000 mark was for Grand, and had a set date, then yes you needed 3000 to get the pretender shell which was an extended date. The scam part here was that their extended date was a day later. In fact, if I am recalling correctly, they called it even before the initial date hit, and they basically ended it as soon as they hit the 2000 mark giving once more the appearance that the pretender shell was just a scam to get the initial run orders.

This is easier for you to aquire than people in Japan since you can find this at a bunch of online vendors while it can only be purcased at 1 online vendor in Japan (and risks being sold out).

It certainly was not a day after, it was like a week or two later.

I'm pretty sure no one is stupid enough to actually have made that a one day thing.

What made it seem like the next day is that it took that long for sites to properly report it as such, most (including Seibertron) thought the first 3000 came with the shell not that 3000 orders were needed for the shell to happen thanks to the language barrier. By the time everyone caught on and properly informed the campaign was nearly over.

maybe perfect effect will make a pretender shell and make it look like the show model
they already have the grand cannon out ;)^

Such a shame really. Perhaps it's for the better, since the shell doesn't resemble Grand's Pretender shell at all, as it's based directly on Waverider/Diver:

Topspin, Twintwist, and Seaspray with Lione just came in stock at TFSource Wednesday evening. I put in the order to ship my stack earlier tonight. All that's left to go now is LG-EX Greatshot and Grand Maximus. I have to admit, I'm a little sad that Transformers Legends is quickly coming to an end. It's been a great ride these past few years, with some excellent work by Takara Tomy on redecoing, retooling, and even re-accessorizing the latest Generations figures with their attention to cartoon detail and genuine love of the fans and the craft.

After the packaging images just the other day (seen here) for Takara Tomy Transformers Legends LG-EX Greatshot and Grand Maximus, the Hobbymizer Hong Kong discussion Facebook group for Transformers has been producing in-hand images of the figures themselves too!

We've mirrored below shots by Tony Au Yeung, which show that the legs are not glued shut as was the case for Fortress Maximus, as well as size comparisons with Greatshot - of which we have more images in the various modes via Oscar Fung, including the upside-down submarine, and a new change in the helmet sculpt too, thanks to Jimmy Yu. I like everything about this figure, from the new rhino head to those awesome colors. A minor gripe I have with Greatshot is those chest wings. I'm used to Sixshot's smaller wings so these bother me a little. Still, he does look pretty great in all modes ;)^

I got charged this morning, these released kinda earlier than I thought. My problem was Amazon JP had the two jumpstarters in stock, but I had to wait for a certain dark lord of the sith.

Hmmm, it looks like you won't be able to leave Greatshot's head attached during transformation, the horns might get in the way.

I'm still waiting on TFsource to get Greatshot in, but once he's in, he, MP40, G2 Megs, War Hammer Bee, and a time gun for Hot Rod shall be on their way!

After enjoying Quickswitch more than I thought, I am so looking forward to this spiky awesome Greatshot, complete with rhino mode. I plan to do a review with all 3 6-changers!
