Due to be released in September of this year and coming with Alpha Trion, will you be getting this Takara version or do you perfer the Hasbro one? Let us know on the Seibertron.com boards here. Check out the image we've mirrored below, and remember keep your optics tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest in news and updates!
And here is an image of the Hasbro version.
I was afraid of that. Takara's does seem to have a much better color blue. It's again weird, as Takara is giving us a very faithful IDW version of Magnus in terms of color layout, but Hasbro's blues and reds and closer to what is actually seen in print, but foregoing or rearranging some of the details that the Takara version meticulously replicated. I like the deeper blue for a more G1 screen accurate match. Unfortunately, the whites of both don't seem to match up, with Hasbro having an off white versus Takara's true white. Worse, I don't think a thigh swap will be possible. Looks like the assembly is mostly pins and not screws.I'd love to see some comparison shots so we can see both in the same lighting conditions, but those are probably months out. I'm going to get the Hasbro version for sure, for Minimus Ambus, but it looks like I'll need to get Takara's too, despite the red thighs (again, I prefer the white for G1 cartoon accuracy). I'll keep the Takara version on pre-order at least until I see some good comparison shots with the Hasbro version, but in all likelihood, I will end up getting both versions in the end. Damn you, Has-Tak, from the bottom of my wallet!

Despite the red thighs. Looking at both toys, The Hasbro version looks like a cheap KO.
Don't think red thighs is that big of a deal. Noticed 2000 God Magnus toy had blue thighs.
The 1986 Ultra Magnus toy had red thighs.
Like the White guns, yellow details and other added details on the Takara version.
Don't like the dark burgandy red, prefer it was a lighter, brighter red.
Will be buying the Hasbro version. Don't love the sculpt enough to spend Takara import prices for it. Hasbro colors are not bad enough to warrant buying a Takara version.

Maybe a Third party can also create height add on shoes or replacement longer thighs. To make CW Leader Ultra magnus the same robot height as MP-10. So some fans can get the cartoon height of Optimus and Ultra Magnus.

But weren't you quite harsh on the Hasbro version? It does not look like a KO.Tough love I guess.

This CW Leader is shorter than MP-10?

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

Maybe not on purpose but it's bait regardless.
