I am surprisingly OK with this.
Hopefully no one makes a "mountain out of a mole hill" pun intended(the pedipalps) the way TFYuki first posed the TT version of her.

I just hope there won't be another shortage on stock again, like with Arcee, Chromia and Windblade.
Come on, why don't you just buy the original Arcee? Way less trouble! Just go to...

Well, why not? On top of that, that Nightbird have other retooled parts so that will be a very unique Arcee! I'll be monitoring that, as well as your other works.![]()
Just be sure you stay alert for the Amiami preorders!
Haha, thank God for repaints!
And thanks for the kind words! My custom Arcee head's in its final stages, and your commissioned models are progressing smoothly.
I'm trying to avoid AmiAmi due to their "no returns" policy, but I might have to if I'm out of options. Hopefully, I'll find some place else.
I've never ordered from Amiami and I was about to actually order that Arcee, but I have absolutely no experience with them. Are they usually good? Do they package their shipments well?
It's been a very long time since I last bought anything from them, but if memory serves, they're not bad with the packaging. CUstomer service was quite good, and they respond fairly quickly. But as I mentioned in the earlier post, they no longer replace defective items, even if it's broken right out of the box. Ever since their policy change, I've tried to avoid buying stuff from them.
Replacement is a case to case basis. They don't pay for the shipping cost if you send it back.

I thought all their parcels now come with a yellow note saying that unless you're living in Japan, they cannot (or rather, will not) refund or replace your item even it it's been determined to be a manufacturing defect.fenrir72 wrote:There's gonna be one. I betcha!
Scalpers and limited production runs...a collector's worst nightmare.

Black Widow from Animated Blackarachnia is a fresh retool and the clear pieces on the prototype are newly sculpted parts. Yet the new parts on the prototypes for the other two are opaque.
Am I looking into this too much?

I'm with you there, I adore my TFCC Slipstream. I'm down for whatever, but this WB retool won't be replacing her.megatronus wrote:I think I like TFSS Slipstream better. Partly because that Prime SS mold is boss, second because I'm sour the Windblade mold isn't getting a Nautica redeco first.
If you group your shelves by continuity, you could put the TCC one with a Prime group and the Legends one with a G1-based group.shajaki wrote:I'm with you there, I adore my TFCC Slipstream. Aside from the obvious NSFW ramifications that stem from this kind of retooling, the Animated Blackarachnia mold no longer fits into Hasbro's current pricepoint packaging system, as it's too big to be marketed as a Deluxe and too small to be sold as a Voyager.william-james88 wrote:Is this a sign that Hasbro wont be releasing a new Blackarachnia anytime soon?

If they were to make such an update to BotCon 2001 Arcee (yes, please!), I think I'd kinda want the original headsculpt back for that.SW's SilverHammer wrote:I hope the only release of this figure stateside is as the club's spider arcee

fenrir72 wrote:Ultra Mad wrote:I'm starting to regret pre ordering Road Rage from Amiami now...
Why? Amiami's services and prices are tops! If you fear damage from delivery, if it's a superficial box dent, they won't replace her that's for sure. But if the damage is justifiable, then try reasoning with customer service. Also, send a pic to back up your claims.

So, basically what you're saying is, the new policy isn't set in stone? Frankly, I'm not too concerned with box damage, as it's just a cardboard-bubble package. What concerns me is the rare occasion where you get 2 left forearms or the fig is missing a head, or something like that.
If Amiami can be reasoned with in these cases, then it's not so bad.
